Tap at Harmony. Thicker looking black pour into a shaker pint. Thin layer of tan head. Actually laced pretty well.
Aroma, roasted malt, some dark chocolate. A little campfire.
Taste, strong beechwood smoke. Good roast malt. There is some chocolates and anise. The barbeque smoke is present throughout. As I prefer in a smoked porter as this was advertised, smoke is strong and lingers well.
Medium body and carbonation. No evidence of the abv. Drinks very well. Definetely in your face.
Just coming back from Bamberg this stoked some good memories.
After having this it might be better classified as a smoked beer, either way it is very good for a smoked porter. If you are ready for it, this is a worthy smoked porter/brew.
Serving type: on-tap
