Nit Wit is a traditional Belgian-style witbier. Unfiltered and spiced with orange peel and coriander. Immensely refreshing and flavorful.

Again, enjoyed at the Columbus Ohio BJ's.

Heading out of town, I wanted something light and easy going- found it here. Though this beer is quite true to style, it reminds me a lot of their Hefeweizen, but without the deep bananna, clove variety. This Wit also seems light, lemony, and sprinkled with corriander and orange zest. Still, bready and wheaty throughout. Light in the yellow spectrum, a haze gives an opaqueness to the mystical beer. Well headed and laces nicely. Certainly a thirst quencher that doesn't weigh heavily on the palate or the brain. Though nice, this beer is far from the best among BJ's lineup.

Served on tap in a pilsner glass
Appearance – The beer is served a hazed orange color with a tiny head of foam. The head fades rather fast leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a wheat bread smell mixed with a bit of orange peel and some coriander and clove. Along with these smells comes a touch of hay and a little bit of cardamon.
Taste – The taste begins with a strong wheat bread and grainy taste mixed with a bit of orange peel and some coriander. As the taste advances the wheat gets stronger while a light sweetness joins in the taste. The sweetness later fades and with flavors of clove and some light herb joining in, one is left with a wheaty and moderately malty but drier taste to linger on the on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is lower. Overall, the feel is good for the style and makes for an easy drinker.
Overall – A decent wit overall. Nothing to call home about, but pleasant none the less.

Looks nice mix of yellow and orange, soft white head on it, 3/4" depth. Aroma was all spice rack and coriander.

Taste was imperial coriander. Mouthfeel allowed a little more to come in later, some lemon, thick wheat grist, but ultimately this was a no thanks.

Waitress really pushed how much she loved this, figured why not check it out. Came looking lovely, plenty yellow and orange, and hazy, nice lush soft head on it. Aroma was just too much coriander for me.

Same with the taste, they pounded like Bruery Imperial Orchid White amounts of coriander into this beer. Heavy heavy. It completely dominated everything I was tasting. I liked the thickness of the mouthfeel, lots of breadiness, wheat, pepper, lemon, but the actual taste was too heavy with the clove as well.

First had: on tap at BJ's, Westminster, CO

Poured a light pale yellow, hazy, with a small white cap of bubbles for a head. Yeasty aroma with crisp citrus notes. Light tasting, bready, citrus zest and some light fruit esters. Not overly flavorful, but still not bad and quite refreshing. Moderately drinkable, and decent for the style.

Enjoyed at BJ's in Norman, OK (which allegedly gets its beer from BJ's in Houston due to Ok's weird laws)

Pretty hazy gold liquid. Interesting fresh aroma. Very much true to the Belgian Witbier style. I would like to taste this side by side with others of the style, but if memory serves right this particular beer is one of the best of the style that I've had.

I like the flavor. Lots and lots of spices, but also a crisp bite.

At BJs Flanders beer tasting in Roseville.

A - Poured yellow with a 2-fingered white head. Dissipated moderately fast leaving lots of lacing.

S/T - Lemon esters stood out, coupled with coriander, light citrus, and light honey.

M - Full-bodied and well-balanced.

D - Overall great. Pleasantly surprised as BJs lighter beers tend to be only par. This one was sublime and was very impressed.

poured the palest of pale yellows ... almost white...whiter than any Wit I've seen. Head was a very impressive 3 fingers of snow white that seemed to never melt. Actually lasted too long.
Aroma was slight banana...mostly light, white pepper and spice.
Taste was actually too light....it seemed to lack depth. A definite Wit with light banana, sharp bite of white pepper from the wheat and drying aftertaste, but just didn't seem to have enough of the flavors I've come to expect from a Wit.
Prettier than Celis or Hoegaarden, but lacking a little of their depth of flavors. Still extremely refreshing.
