This was actually pretty decent all things considered. I didn't really know what to expect coming from BJ,'s but I didn't mind this at all, presentation was nice. Very affordable considering it's at a restaurant

Served on tap in a tulip like glass
Appearance - The beer is served a hazed orange color with small head of foam. The head fades fast, leaving a touch of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma is huge of a candied sugar smell mixed with fruit aromas of orange and apricot. Along with these smells comes a lot of wheat bread and spice of clove and corriander. With this are smells of banana and yeast, with a touch of grass and hay.
Taste - The taste begins with a sweet candied sugar and orange flavor mixed with a light bready, wheat, and caramel malt. Spice of clove and corriander are big as well with both getting stronger. Along with these flavors comes some yeast and hay. A light bit of toast and grass come, and with a bit of alcohol booziness, one is left with a nice wheaty and slightly sweeter, but very balanced taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouth feel - The body of the brew is medium in thickness with a lower carbonation. The feel is nice as it makes it easy drinking, all while allowing for appreciation of all the rich flavors.
Overall - Flavorful and dangerously easy to drink. A nice Grand Cru!!

Poured from draft into snifter glass in December 29, 2018.
Appearance: Golden color with a thick tan head. Head is very creamy and remains thick for a short period. It leaves a lot of lacing on the glass.
Smell: Strong aroma of caramel, cinnamon, berries, and malts. There is not much hop aroma.
Taste: There is strong caramel flavor, with some mint and fruit flavors. Also some smoky roasted malt flavors, and a little vanilla flavor. There is not much bitterness from hops, but the flavor is dominated by the caramel and other sweet flavors. There is a strong alcohol presence as advertised.
Mouth-feel: Thick, but with an extremely smooth and creamy body.
This is a good Belgian Pale ale, and it has a variety of flavors that adds a nice complexity to the beer. It is very sweet, smooth, and enjoyable to drink. I would buy this again.

From the growler via the brew pub. This decent BSPA pours a
nice amber tinged golden color with a moderate head of
quickly dissipating white foam that settles to a thin ring and scant
lacing. Nose of phenol laden yeasty bread with touches of Belgian
spice, candy sugars, and a strong alcohol note. Flavors exceed with
a apple and white grape note sweetened with candy sugar and
dashed with coriander. Light sweet yeasty breaded notes abound
with banana esters and a light herbal hop note on the back.
Decent mouth feel; low carbonation, medium body, smooth,
lightly warming, and finishing sweet with an herbal undertone.
Overall, a nice little warming brew from a decent little brew pub!
Cheers

Grand Cru XVI, on tap on 11/15/15. Pretty, golden hazy body, with a wisp of a head. Smell is full of fruit esters, as is the taste. Pleasant, but sweet. The trick is in the feel, which is quite clean and very light on the tongue, showing virtually none of the high alcohol content present. Far too easy to drink, this is something that could be knocked back easily, but should be consumed judiciously.
