I absolutely love the honey flavor. The light beer look decieves the beauty of this blonde!

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance –– Pours with a delightful, effervescent, creamy, eggshell white head that dissolves quickly and may benefit from some agitation.

Smell –– Wow! Fresh and bright and fun. Raw honey, berries, mild hops, apple and creamsicle. No booze whatsoever.

Taste –– Great! Like the smell, with cantaloupe and honeydew. This beer somehow has what at first seemed to be a very sweet edge –– in a very palatable way –– but that sweetness becomes MUCH less apparent partway through a glass, a transition unlike most "sweeter" beers where the opposite usually holds true. Fresh apple cider on the end of a swallow. At its warmest, honey becomes clearer with a subtle, baked sweetness evocative of ancient meads.

Mouthfeel –– Awesome firmness and fizzyness, unique overall texture; more fine carbonation than an IPA, with a bit of the bready bite of a wheatier beer.
Fascinating. Fills the mouth well.

Overall –– Refreshing and interesting, and definitely something different for me, this "Strong Blonde" shows no sign of its 8.3% ABV and is dangerously drinkable. Very cool offering that could be great on a hot day, or even in the fall/winter months by the fireplace. Nice!

Well, it's quite a Blonde Ale. Certainly strong though you absolutely don't sense the alcohol content. Attractive amber color in the small tulip with sufficient head and carbonation. There is a really interesting roasted taste along with the light malt. Spicy and spritzy mouthfeel, though rather light bodied. Fragrant with a distinct tang of honey, but without the sickly sweet flavor of too much of the stuff.

Quite a refreshing change from a whole lot of strong beers that are over-hopped and over-spiced. A big beer with a refreshing quality-- subtlety. On tap at Tiger Tiger on El Cajon Blvd.

On tap at Latitude 33. Snifter.

A: Dark orange with two fingers of mousse-like foam. Great retention and scattered lacing.

S: Sweet bread blends with biscuit, floral aromatics, and a whisper of vanilla. Honey, ripe golden apple, earthy hop characteristics, and a touch of citrus.

T: Bready malt with ample sweetness and notes of honey, apple, and pear. There's a low earthy bitterness and alcohol is well hidden throughout. The beer is pretty sweet, almost candied. Sweet citrus in the slightly boozy finish.

M: Medium body with upper medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy.

Overall: A nice strong blond with well hidden alcohol. The sweetness cuts down on the drinkability but I suppose that comes with the style.

On tap at Latitude 33 Brewing Company in Vista, CA.

Pours a slightly hazy honey orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, honey, and spices. Taste is much the same with a sweet and fruity flavor. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate after each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Originally rated this after having on tap.
Just had from a bottle and it was disastrously watery on the mouthfeel to me, made an interesting beer quite disappointing.

Updated my 4.25 rating for this, I would still try if on tap
