A: The beer is slightly hazy amber orange in color and has a light amount of carbonation along with some fine particulates floating in suspension near the bottom of the glass. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface, a collar around the edge, and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of citrusy and tropical fruit hops are present in the smell.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, but the hops are stronger and impart flavors of grapefruit and passionfruit along with a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this IPL to be quite tasty and rather drinkable. It had a nice amount of interesting flavors from the hops that you would expect from an IPA but was nice and clean and didn't have the "bite" of an IPA in the mouthfeel.

A: Burnt orange, slightly hazy caramel streaks. Most of the IPLs I've had tend to be on the blonder straw side. This pours truer to an IPA. Very nice frothy 2 finger+ head. Excellent retention well over half the beer. Good lacing down my Long Trail pint glass.

S: Piney, orange, passion fruits.

M: Pretty resinous leading to a fuller body. Not as smooth nor crisp as most IPLs or session IPAs for that matter. Needs more carbonation, and some rounding out in this category.

T: A nice piney hop bite. Low-medium bitterness subsides smoothly to warmer citrus and fruity notes. Dank as a lager can get, but flavor seem muted compared to the nose.

O: Pretty straightforward. Simple, but very good beer in all remarks. Plus, I think it pulls in at under 5. It's a good alternative, fuller flavored beer than most session IPAs around.

First let me say I am relatively new to craft beers and I may not know how to describe beers the way many of other BA members do.

Out of the bottle and into the glass this poured a nice color much like an IPA, perhaps a little blonder, or because it was a lager I wanted it to be more yellow than copper? The head was average.

The smell was initially very similar to an IPA.... Citrus and Hoppy.

The taste was not as overwhelmingly Hoppy or Citrus as the nose would have led me to believe.

Overall I liked the beer as it was very easy to drink. I would consider this a great "bridge" beer from American lagers to IPA's.
