A: The beer is slightly hazy amber yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger off white head that quickly died down, leaving a thin patch of bubbles in the center of the glass and a collar around the edge.
S: Light to moderate aromas of crystal malts are present in the nose along with hints of fruit.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste is malty and has some associated sweetness with notes of watermelon towards the finish. No bitterness is perceptible. The melon flavors seem to become a little stronger as the beer warms up.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is rather sweet for a pale wheat ale and seems to be more of what you would expect from a blonde ale. It's easy to drink, but I wouldn't call it refreshing given the amount of maltiness.

Coney Island is a fairly new brewery, and I believe this is only their second bottled beer available in the market. I had their 'Seas The Day' IPA earlier in the year, which was a middle of the road beer.
This beer pours with a good head, a nice amber color, and a clean, slightly sweet aroma. I got a whiff of melon as I took my first gulp. But the melon taste is very muted, with more of the wheat flavor coming thru, with a lightly bitter finish. The aftertaste is clean. I wish the watermelon flavor was a bit more pronounced, like Hooker's Watermelon Ale, but still it is a nice summer beer that isn't too sweet.
And I like the graphics on the label & six-pack container! It definitely says SUMMER FUN to me!

I'm not sure if it had been on tap to long but there was no watermelon flavor or aroma from this beer. The taste was also nothing like a wheat beer. It was more like a skunked ale. Probably a bad format for me to have tasted this in but the experience is not making me go to the store for a six pack.
