Pours a clear golden with a small white head that dissipates rather quickly. Decent amount of carbonation rising.
Aroma is light malts, light hops. Not a whole lot going on in the aroma.
Taste is malts with a hop backbone. Slightly sweeter than I was expecting. Not bad.
Mouthfeel is medium bodies and cleansing.
Overall, a decent brew that is quite sessionable. Was definitely better than I was expecting.

Pours a hazy gold with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and sugary sweet aromas. Taste is much the same with malt and slight fruity flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer that is drinkable but nothing all that exciting in my opinion.

Beer is usually made from four simple ingredients; water, malt, hops, and yeast. With the high acclaim of Fiji brand water, you would think that a brewer from Fiji would take advantage of this water. Vonu comes in a 330 ml dark bottle (no limes here!) with a turtle swimming on the label. On to the beer:
Darker than most pale lagers, as in fact this looks halfway between a pale and amber lager. Not much head forms on top, though its lacing has decent froth. The aroma is stronger and more pleasant than the standard national lager, as its hoppiness is noticeable, a sweet honey note, and a vague metallic note as well.
This is not some watered down tropical lager for the tourists. Vonu is more flavorful than I was expecting with a unique fruity flavor that works with a decent dry and sweet malt base and a moderate hop bitterness towards the end. Closer to being a medium bodied lager with carbonation that is a little fizzy.
It has to be more than just the water which makes Vonu a step up from the usual national lager. Easily one of the better ones I've had, for what it's worth.

Small and not persistent head. Even for a light lager, it presented a herbaceous hop aroma. In its taste, one can feel the sweetness of the malt and a mild bitter ending.
Even after it warmed up a little, its aroma did not present any unpleasant smell, as it happens to some adjunct lagers, nor had any after taste out of place.
Excelent drinkability. Really a pleasant surprised, I was expecting a mediocre beer. It made me feel at the beach. Not my preferred beer style, but a good option for hot days.

The best Fijian beer and one of the best of the world lagers to me. This one I poured at a good temperature with a nice foamy, frothy, off-white head that soon subsides and a bit of lace. Color is a clear yellow with lots of little and a couple of big bubble trails. Aroma is beery, a little hop, spice, bread, and malt. Flavor is like nose with hop coming out a little more. Not overly sweet like the other Fijian brews. Still a bit sweet, but has some good carbonic tang and some noticible hop to counter it. Body is ok and carbonation is a touch fizzy. Finish is like flavor, on the short side, and much as I hate to say it, this would be session beer a little colder.
