A 330ml bottle with a BB of Feb 2012. Purchased at a supermarket in Nairobi while I was there on business. Not much info on the label, although it features a stylised image of an ostrich (took me a while to realise what it was).
Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A clear light-golden colour with good carbonation. Forms a large head of white foam that lasts for a couple of minutes before subsiding to a surface layer. Aroma of light, grainy malt with very faint notes of stewed hops and yeast.
Tastes of light malt with a mild, dry finish. Subtle notes of grain and stewed hops, with yeasty esters discernible in the background as it warms. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly; the body is light but good for the style. Leaves the palate slightly dry, with a faint malt aftertaste.
An OK lager - nothing amazing but better than most of the adjunct-filled offerings available in Kenya. The all-malt character helps set it apart. Would go down nicely in a hot climate. Props to the brewer for taking on the big breweries and introducing micro-brews into what is probably a difficult market.

Bottle: Poured a bright yellow color lager with a small foamy head with good retention and limited lacing. Aroma consists of light adjunct with some semi-sweet notes. Taste is not the most complex with light notes adjunct and a semis-sweet finish. Body is quite light with good carbonation. Another pale lager from a Kenyan brewery though this one might have a slight edge over most of the other ones.
