Sweet's is located a stone's throw from the 405, just over the border from Huntington Beach in South Westminster. Walking in the store has an odd triangular shape with some interesting lighting choices and a disco ball. The place does stink a bit (stale cigarettes), I'm assuming coming in from the dive bar next door. Not so bad that I rushed out but not particularly pleasant either.
The beer is all refrigerated on a wall that goes on an angle to to the back. Saw lots of Stone and Lagunitas, Bear Republic, though the overall beer selection is quite small. I did see Kasteel Rogue here which was interesting to see at a neighborhood liquor store. Prices are not clearly marked unfortunately, but they were fair with the prevailing averages around the county. Service was fine, one guy rung me up, though he had trouble finding the price for the Fuller's ESB I bought.
All and all a solid liquor store, nothing crazy in terms of beer selection, reminds me a bit of Mike's on the Westside of Huntington. Good in a pinch, but if you're in the area, go 1/4 mile south to the Whole Foods in Huntington for a much more expansive and eclectic selection. Though in the end, it's nice to finally see a BeerFly entry from the much maligned city of Westminster.
