CitySuper is a chain of upscale supermarkets with Hong Kong's best retail selection of craft beer. Unfortunately, that isn't saying much, because most of the good craft beer in Hong Kong is only available at bars or through online businesses like Hop Leaf.
The best locations for beer are IFC Mall (Central), Times Square (Causeway Bay) and Harbour City (Tsim Sha Tsui). New Town Plaza (Shatin) has the smallest selection. There are coolers with a couple dozens different types of beer and more beer kept unrefrigerated on shelves.
The selection is eclectic to say the least. They have Sierra Nevada's regular lineup (Pale Ale, Torpedo, Kellerweis, Porter, Stout) and the Steam Beer and Porter from Anchor (but no Liberty Ale for some reason). Brooklyn Lager is also available. There are some okay Japanese craft beers, a handful of the more obvious Belgians and a number of German hefeweizens and various lagers. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that there is always a number of French craft beers like La Goudale and Jenlain. They're middling but not terrible.
Service is typical supermarket service: don't expect any help with the beer. That said, this being an upscale supermarket, there is an excellent deli and cheese counter along with some good sushi and sashimi.
Pro tip: If you're at the IFC Mall location, grab some beers and food and go upstairs to the rooftop garden. Not only can you enjoy a drink at a fraction of the price of Hong Kong's bars, you get a nice harbour view while you're at it.
