Type: 12-oz. can
Glass: Stone Ruination IPA pint glass
From: Whole Foods in Boise, Idaho
Price: $8.99 for a mix and match variety 6-pack
Purchased: Dec. 19, 2013
Consumed: Dec. 22, 2013
Poured a caramel honey murky color with two fingers of khaki white head. Sporadic uneven spots of lacing along the sides. Good retention.
Smelled wet Cascade hops, Irish Spring soap, floral hops, pine, lime and some buttery caramel malts.
Tasted slightly different than the nose. Got buttery malts, lime grass, honey, grass hops, soap and caramel.
Light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Buttery abrupt finish.
Didn’t really like this one at all. Would not have it again on purpose.

Poured from 12oz can into a pint glass.
Appearance: dark orange hue with a light haze and a moderately strong effervescence. Head is a thick finger of pillowy tan foam; quite attractive.
Smell: caramelly malt right off the bat, followed by an intriguing combination of floral and citrus hops. I like it, although overall it's quite muddled and the hops don't quite stand up to the malt.
Taste: again, quite malty right up front. Something about the flavor reminds me of extract homebrew, though not necessarily in a bad way -- just something about the sweetish quality of the malt. Hops are lightly floral and citrusy, and again don't stand up to the malt quite enough for my taste. Bitterness is smooth and pretty decent for an APA of this style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of well-integrated carbonation and a concomitantly satisfying creaminess. I like it.
Overall: a decent drinkin' beer. It's a bit muddled to be really great, but it will do in a pinch.

Pumpkin orange with a soapy head. Glob of retention makes it down to 1/3 glass but that's about it.
Floral, bubblegum, peach and general wort aroma. Tastes like bubblegum and peach iced tea. Not as malty as it smells. Nice bitter finish. Very, very clean.
I like it. Like a more flavorful Long Trail Ale for those with an east coast feel.

Had this one last night courtesy of COOP Matt... He shared it with me, inflatablechair and buckeyeboy. I wanted a solid review (per Matt's request), so I picked up a bottle today at Bier Thirty for a pricey $5... Poured into my slim tulip glass tonight while listening to music and cleaning out our junk room.
Nice looking off white head.... good retention and lacing... the brew is a hazed amber... not the right color... but let's hope the smell and taste are more in the wheelhouse.
Nose is hoppy, I guess... but instead a toasty malt aroma dominates with with bits of caramel that seem out of place.. hops sorta fall flat.
Decent hop bitterness... a bit of hoppiness mid palate that gets drowned by out by the malt character... again pretty heavy toast and some lesser caramel.... I guess I get a bit of floral hops... but I could be wrong.
Body seems a touch thick for a low abv pale... but it is a minor distraction... carbonation is good small bubble.. almost makes for a creamy mouthfeel.
Decent brew that needs work... and honestly pretty expensive... 3x22's more or less equal a 6-pack... This brew would be $15/6-pack. Too expensive... I will not revisit unless it is on tap somewhere and I can assume it is a newer batch.
