Safe Harbor Blonde. The pin-up girl on the label looks delicious. Let's hope the beer follows suit.

Pale straw color with a bleach white head of bubbly suds. Looks nice.

Light honey malts, nice sweet aroma, faint citrus hop, and mellow grain. Smells benign. I like it.

Malts are lightly sweet and a little flabby. Some nice honeysuckle tones, but mild hops make this good. Citrusy tangerine and melon notes from the hops with a kiss of tropicalia. Easy-going and approachable, like I wish the pin-up girl on the label would be. Drinks soft and wet with a supple feel. Carbonation is light, but sustaining.

The beer pours a hazy golden yellow with champagne-like carbonation. There is a tall, thick head of egg white foam. The aroma is grassy, hoppy, floral, fruity, bitter over golden grain. The taste follows the aromas directly, ending with a grassy and bitter finish, dry and with a yeasty tang. There is a nice crisp mouthfeel. The bottle might scream gimmick, but the beer screams a tasty and refreshing American take on a kolsch-style ale.

A: The beer is relatively clear straw yellow in color and has a very slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that died down and left a thin layer of bubbles on the surface.
S: There are light aromas of biscuity malts along with slight hints of floral hops.
T: The taste has light flavors of biscuit and grainy malts along with a subtle amount of sweetness and a light amount of bitterness.
M:It feels light- to medium- bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. The finish has some crispness.
O: I enjoyed this blonde ale because it had some nice malty flavors but was still light-bodied and easy to drink.

Acquired via trade from MilwaukeeCrusher so a big “Thank You” goes out to him. Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light yellow color, with a short white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains light caramelized malts, some citrus and a good amount of hops.

T: The taste starts out with bready flavors of grain and a thin malt character. Then some sweet flavors of citrus and caramel come in. The hops presence is mild and complementary but there isn’t as much balance as there are in most other beers in the style. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, it’s a decent beer but there are a lot of better options in the style.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is somewhat floral, some grains. Taste is malts, grains, there is a hop presence, bitter at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall this is an easy drinking beer, great for a hot summer day.
