A beautiful wine shop with a small but impressive beer selection. They had Drie Fonteinen, Almanac and other very tempting brews. But they were very expensive; some several dollars above other shops. I wouldn't buy here regularly but I would certainly stop in often.

Found this spot on whim, actually pulled over because of a chimay banner out front. Turns out this place has been recommended to me before.
Atmosphere is the only thing missing to this gem, if your claustrophobic you might not dig it but they are maximizing their space. A whole back corner dedicated to some pretty awesome craft.
Lo and behold I find he reason why, Dave the only beer buy for Healthy Spirits is now here bringing all of the great selections and leaving the high prices up north. Wow some of the brews are priced the best I've ever seen them!
Can't get better than Dave's service and selection you can't go wrong with this place. Recommend if your in the area and it's right on El Camino

This place is an awesome sleeper beer shop. While the name gives away their main focus they do stock a creative and high quality list of beers. Beer is found in the rear of the warehouse with a large variety of singles in a chiller plus more inventory on the shelves.
AWD seems to have a lot of overlap with the larger of the Whole Foods plus a lot of beers that I haven't found anywhere else. Good coverage of both the American craft brew scene plus Europeans. You won't find any gimmick beers here, the emphasis is on flavor. After shopping here for about two years I've never taken home a stale or otherwise mistreated beer.
Their space is stacked full with inventory without much space to perambulate. I'm usually there after work when they're mobbed with customers picking up a bottle or fifty before going home. The staff are very attentive and even when crowded they'll do their best to help you find what you need.
I think that's the key with this place: their staff really care about their product and their customers.
It is a little hard to find, located in a workshop district in Mt. View near the Caltrain station and the Stevens Creek Trail. Not much parking on site but plenty of street parking.
