Pours a golden yellow color and crammed full of hops. It starts with a citrus and dank hop aroma that follows through to the flavor. While malt may bring up the finish you won’t soon forget about the hops. When you need IBU’s ask for it by name.

Pours into an impy nonic a clear lighter amber shade with a half finger lacey white head that settles into a thin frothy mass atop.Resinous hops and big caramel malts in the nose, not overly sugary though wich is good.A mix of sweet doughy and caramel malts mixed with pine and mild tropical fruits, not as big and sweet as many of the style but still quite sweet. Not bad,it's got good looks but not anything to search and seek out either.

A fabulous IPA, with plenty of hop aroma. I almost wanted to smell it more than drink it. But taste is where it's at-- lots of hop flavor, and malt to give it a thicker mouthfeel. One of my favorite beers of 2015.

A: The beer is hazy yellowish amber in color, too hazy to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head that has good retention properties and consistently left a short head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of piney hops are present in the nose along with notes of caramel malts.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the caramel malts are stronger and the flavors of pine are most noticeable in the finish. This is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a good balance between the malts and hops. It also does a good job hiding just about all of the alcohol from the taste. The hop aromas and flavors are basic and seem like a throwback to the IPAs of the early 2000s in the craft beer revolution.

22oz bottle, with a whole new IPA-themed punny name, at least to me.

This beer pours a slightly glassy, medium bronzed amber colour, with one chubby finger of puffy, rocky, and moderately bubbly off-white head, which leaves some solid rock face lace around the glass as things quickly abate.

It smells of stale orange and red grapefruit rinds, grainy pale malt, a twinge of hot caramel, Pine-Sol, and further warm alcohol esters. The taste is bready, doughy caramel malt, cotton candy, sugary orange wedges, piney car air freshener, earthy and woodsy hops, and a rather untamed metallic and medicinal booziness.

The bubbles are adequate in their supportive and somewhat frothy ventures, the body medium-light in weight, and so-so smooth, the proclaimed hops apparently wasting their time here (along with the wild-ass booze) to make things just a bit more miserable. It finishes sweet, unhinged, and untethered - the differentiation within available upon request.

Yeah, upon first whiff, my mind was set, and not to be changed by what came after - Phenol-Rama 2015! There is a decent enough DIPA under all that sideshow, bad homebrew-esque crap flitting about, but you'd hardly know it. Anyways, one of the poorer versions of the style that I've had the displeasure of paying north of 10 bucks for, of late.
