An aggresively hopped brew (I was told it's dry hopped with cascade hops). It's a clear gold, with a very thin white head and excellent lacing. It's a bit too light looking. The nose is very hoppy, with super-sweet lemon and some yeastiness. Smells interesting and promising. The taste is all hops, with maybe a hit of malt in the middle, but it's all sticky hops in the lingering finish. Not bad, but not very complicated. Mouthfeel is good, the carbonation is at a good level and it's smooth and thicker than it looks. Drinkability is decent, especially if you like hoppy beers (it's the only hoppy option at Kraftbrau when they don't have an IPA on tap).

Listen. If you want to infuse laundry sheets and grapefruit peels into lightly malted beer, keep it to yourself.
I believe this is the outcome of mindless Cascade hop worship that has brough forth a tidal wave of grapefruit, mint, pine and kerosene-flavored brews onto the market. This is not something to stive for. It is barely acceptable as a breakfast beverage in a cheap european Pension or train station... why would "craft" brewers pursue this flavor? Where's the beer?

I'm puzzled.
