This is a beer supply store. I started home brewing in the late 70's and I have never seen anything as comprehensive, well stocked and interesting as this place. The staff are all knowledgeable. Several are either BJCP judges or Cicerones. Several are award winning home brewers. Its easy to find what you want and if you can't there are plenty of staff available to help you out. There is free parking in the back. They also offer classes. What more do you want?

Man do I love this place. It's where I bought my first home brew kit that got me into home brewing. The staff is awesome and can answer any questions you may have about brewing beer/wine.

I love their new store. What really impressed me was their classroom. Wow. I wish I had more time to be able to go to some of their classes that they offer.

The already made kits are great but what I really love if you are into all grain recipes is you can go to their computer they have near all the grain and print off an all grain recipe with the click of a button. Seriously. It's that easy.

Northern Brewers second MN store and it is a gem of a store. Clean as you would expect with a brand new store, but also very well laid out. The store is laid out by category basically with little islands or sections dedicated to equipment or materials of the same purpose. Lots of room to move about compared to the St. Paul store. I had to seek out help for some kegging equipment, but once I did, the guy was extremely knowledgable and helpful and got me everything I needed. I would definitely go here again for homebrewing needs. Prices were about where they should be for the equipment.

This place is known to many for their online delivery, but their retail store is a top notch outfit. Very clean, with a strong selection of grains and hops. I haven't ever needed anything when I've gone that they haven't had. They have good setups for beginners, and their service is knowledged and can give you tips. The most important thing is that their ingrediants are fresh. Defintely a good stop for twin cities homebrewers. They also have a good supply if you are into making wine or mead, as well as hosting brewing clases.
