Found this brew at the Firetap Alehouse-South Anchorage. It was pale golden and cloudy, great lacing of the head. It was priced $6.50/pint compared t $6 for the other AK crafts. The aroma was to die for - floral, citric, very hop-forward, makes me suspect dry hopping.

Taste was also outstanding. We had sampled Moose's Tooth IPA the day before, it was excellent, but this was a whole level better. Big doses of hop flowers, hint of lemon, some mysterious sweetness, malt light and fresh bread. This stuff is hophead dreamland. Mouthfeel was substantial but light on the palate, alcohol warmth well under control. Good complexity to the taste.

Overall highly drinkable, wish I could have had 2 more. Recommended.

Nice golden clear color. Heavy hop on the nose.head was white/off white. Was recommended by another hop head at Buffalo Wild Wings here in Anchorage. Was a solid grapefruity and floral taste. Very citrusy. Only thing I wasnt to thrilled abnout was mouth. It was mquite watery and very fizzy. The fizz was less bothersome than the watery feel.

Great IPA, wished for a hint more of bitterness but over all a great IPA. The color dosnt tickle my fancy as it looks like a bud light when poured but the flavor smacks you in the mouth just like an IPA is suppose to. will definitely drink this if its on tap at the pubs.

There is something special about the way King Street does their IPA. I personally think it is the clean water and close access Washington hops. But it also takes a good brewer to make a good IPA!
Pours a gold color with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus, grass and a slight banana. Up front you get a full hoppy flavor that is fresh. It's almost like a wet hop! The citrus notes are there but not too much. You will love this IPA if you are a Hop ahead!

Poured from a can into my imperial pint glass, a little cooler than cellar temperature.

It's got a beautiful, golden-orange, honey-like hue, with stunning clarity revealing copious, fine streams of carbonation. The head is one finger, just off-white, and lingers a respectable duration. 4.58.

Awesome tropical fruitiness wafts out of the glass, with bodacious, herbaceous pine. Damn fine. 4.64.

And I continue to be further impressed when I take my first sip. Juicy, zesty citrus mingles with a daringly dank, piney, hoppy bitterness that I'm used to finding in IMPERIAL IPAs. Lovely, dry breadiness cleans up the finish and rounds out this fantastic flavor profile. 4.9.

The feel is terrific as well. Quite substantial in body and viscosity. 4.53.

I am seriously impressed here. Superb balance and intensity of wonderfully complementary IPA flavors that are right up my alley.

Average beer. Nothing amazing. Acceptable IPA.

Appearance: One of the better bubble shows I have witnessed, with a slow volcanic build-up of the head; the liquid is clear and amber colored and the foam swathes the glass

Smell: Dank aromatics, with a piney edge; biscuity malt underneath

Taste: The biscuit supports the dank, piney flavor; the hops bring a resinous edge; the finish is nicely balanced

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Normally I like my IPAs somewhat unbalanced, with the hops overwhelming the malts but this beer makes the case that a balanced IPA can be a mighty fine drinker, too

Thanks, itracy63, for the opportunity
