32oz growler poured into a Forest & Main pint glass.

Appearance
Golden amber with 1 finger of loose, white head. Pretty hazy with decent head retention.

Nose
Passion fruit, mango, papaya, bread and caramel.

Taste
Distinct tropical notes of passion fruit along with lighter notes of papaya rind and mango. Clean bready malts with drizzles of caramel. Notes of pine resin and grapefruit zest peek through in the finish.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, smooth, juicy and semi-dry with a moderately light bitterness.

Overall
It's smooth, it's easy drinking, it's Kinch! One part English IPA, one part tropical bouquet! (Okay, okay...I know that was totally lame.)

On cask @ the Forest & Main Brewing Company (Ambler, PA) on 11/2/12. Served in a mug.

Pours a pale, fairly clear gold, with 1-2 fingers of frothy bright-white head. This maintains a robust look, leaving back lots of rich sudsy froth. The aroma smells equal parts flora and herbal, with some lighter notes of pine, spice and bitter grapefruit. Buttered toast character sits along the back.

The taste is juicy grapefruit bitterness straight though, with resins and spice on the finish and some light herbal textures on the sides. A nice dose of lightly buttered and toasted sweetness sits along the back. Hops return with an aggressive finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a softer carbonation in the mouth that still packs a bit of a crisp punch to it and then more of a smooth and creamy feel across the back. Alcohol is well hid for the most part.

This was nice. Like their Pale Ale, this seems to be an American/British hybrid take on the style and I really dug it. This had a lot of American hop flavor but then more of an English style malt profile and a really easy drinking body here on cask. Good stuff!

On cask at Forest and Main. A gold-bodied beer with a smallish, slowly settling white head and very nice lacing. The keg was a day old and I could tell; hops fairly burst from the glass as it was placed in front of me; very fruity, full of tropical and citrus notes; a hint of caramel malty sweetness underneath; lesser pine and grass aroma.

Very tasty as well. Great flavor full of tropical fruits and citrus, some pine and grass notes, a restrained caramel malt backbone that doesn’t obscure any of the hop subtleties but still rounds things out nicely. Not a west coast style hopbomb; very vividly hopped but not overly bitter, and the malt isn’t purely an afterthought. Any sweetness dries up well in the finish, and there’s a modestly bitter aftertaste lingering pleasantly after the swallow.

Very smooth, medium-bodied, low carbonation on cask. Eminently drinkable. Heavily dry-hopped and it shows, particularly in an aroma that really pops. Very nicely done.
