Growler poured into Green Man goblet.

A-Two fingers foamy head. A deep burnt orange body. Clarity has a nice faint haze to it. Minimal lacing on the perimeter of my glass.

S-Soft stone fruit smells of peach and plum with a very subtle smell of a very ripened banana peel. Beyond the fruity aroma is clove and spice. Nice grain presence that gives it a fresh bread like characteristics. Hop notes for me are minimal giving a herbal, lemon grass smell.

T-The taste is yeast forward with nice malt layering throughout the palate. The hops come in at the end giving it a nice finishing balance between the malts and yeast.

M-Medium/thin with a semi dry finish. Carbonation is good.

O-A very well put together saison. They do very well with there belgian inspired varieties of beers and you will not be disappointed with this one. This beer is crushable. Bottle it please...

32 oz. growler poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Wispy surface. Chunky bubbles at the edges. Slight haze.

Smell - Malty and some yeast. Pale and pilsner malt. A hint of funk, but mostly malt.

Taste - Grainy malts most prominent. Burnt toast grain flavor. Sharp. Hoppy. Very bitter. Not my favorite, but not undrinkable.

Mouthfeel - Sharp flavor. Very bitter and difficult to drink.

Overall - Something weird about this. The finish is abrasive.

On tap at the source last weekend, and then served from a growler into a Forest & Main pint glass.

Pours a clear golden with visible carbonation. Nice white head with a good retention time and nice lacing on the way down. The nose is slightly grainy and backed by a bit of pepper and spice. The flavor is crisp and grainy, backed with subtle spice and yeast notes.

Light body and fairly-heavy carbonation. Really easy to drink. Mild, but fantastic for the session saison that it is.
