On tap at Forest & Main yesterday afternoon.
Pours near black with a small beige head. A bit of lacing on the glass. The nose carries some initial dry roasted malts along with chocolate undertones. Some milk chocolate, but more toward dark chocolate. Behind that, a bit of light cherry-driven fruit character and mild earthiness.
Flavor starts off with chocolate and roast character, then falling into a pleasing earthiness and mild acidity. A bit of cherry and faint dark fruits. Body is light-medium with good carbonation. Wild yeast has done really nice things to the finish.
Quite drinkable and a really nice dark wild beer. The base beer is not lost at all, yet the wild yeast is really able to shine through. Very nice.
