Poured from 375ml bottle into teku, a bright clean golden color with a slight peach hue. White bubbles dissipate quickly and there is no head whatsoever after a few seconds. No lacing, almost appears flat.
The aroma on the other hand, is so welcoming. The wine barrel and tart cherry come first but doesn't over power the farmhouse yeast character which plays it's part in the background. Hint of bread notes, some plum and white raisins.
Pallet is equally amazing. A light tartness on the front of the tongue. Acidic but not too much, The wine barrel notes round out the beer so well. Chardonnay notes are very present, almost like drinking the white wine itself a little bit. The oak is there as well to round out the beer. The mouthfeel is almost perfect, a nice light carbonation which seems just right for this style. No lingering acidic notes, it's crisp and refreshing. I wish I could have a case of this. Best beer I've had in a long time.
