Pours a nice amber, orange color nice clarity and a decent head. Smell is of citrus, pine, hops smells very "west coast" not really getting the juniper here though. Taste is hoppy, very little malt backbone all the smells come through in the taste again not really getting the juniper though. Hop bitterness sticks with you on the tongue making this nice to sip on since it lingers. I really like this beer probably would have rated it higher if it was given to me and I wasn't told the berries were in there. Overall great beer for a great cause can't go wrong!

22oz bottle from Hop City (Atlanta, GA). 5.99. No bottle date but this was just released within the past couple weeks. Served in a Sweetwater snifter.

Pours clear redish orange with a half finger of pale head that lingers and leaves a good bit of lace.

Smells of citrus, pine and (perhaps just because I know they're in there) faint berry.

I get a sweet berry syrup flavor initilly but that is quickly pushed back by grapefruit, orange rind and piney hops. There's also mild pepper and hint of cracker. Overall bitter but some noce notes in there.

Fairly light body but with a bit of oily precense and moderate carbonation. Bitter grapefruit zest and berry skins in the finish.

A decent beer for a good cause. I prefer Sweetwater's standard IPA but this is still worth at least a try.

Thanks to itsme_timd (Reddit) for this interesting beer. Typically beer is brewed with juniper in lieu of hops, like a sahti, but it's becoming more of a trend to brew them together and I'm not a huge fan, but never know.

Pours a nice fizzy 1 finger fluffy looking head that fades pretty slowly, nice soapy lacing left on the sides, a very clear iced-tea brown color with amber hue.

Nose brings piney hops, earthy like forest floor and pine needles, as well as the piney juniper, interestingly a mild berry aroma too, earthy, little sap too, and hint of orange peel candied style, with big sweet malts underneath mostly candy and caramel malts.

Taste brings lots more pine and juniper, but the hops quickly give way to a sweet candy malt, with more candy reddish malts, little caramel, grainy as well, with mild grassy malt characters even. The hops are again that earthy piney flavors, a little mushroomy earth and soil from a forest floor, with more pine and sap, as well as piney juniper and even a little berry note again interestingly. More of that mild candied orange peel like flavor again, fair bitterness with fairly sweet malt balance. Finish is a bit drier but a little sticky.

Mouth is med to heavier bod, lighter carb, faint hint of warming booze.

Overall not bad, glad the juniper is not overpowering or too piney, and the piney hops don't combine with the juniper
