copper colored, crystal clear, lots of carbonation. It has a two finger bubbly and white head with some nice lacing.
I really only smelled grapefruit with this but it still smelled good.
It tasted much like it smelled, with grapefruit being the first flavor I picked up, followed by toasted bread and then a small presence of caramel.
It's medium bodied, mouth coatingly smooth with citrus upfront followed by some toasted malt.
This is a very solid and tasty IPA and is very reasonably priced. I would buy this again and would really enjoy the opportunity to have it on draft.

12oz bottle, enjoy by 8/12/12
Deschutes tulip

A: Pours a burnt sunset, orange color. It's unfiltered but not overly cloudy. About a finger of off white head. Sticks around a little bit. Good carbonation.

S: Hops are still there. Might be a little subdued with age. I get overripe peach, mango, papaya, etc. Some sweet maltiness.

T: Hop bitterness on the tip of the tongue. You get those fruity hops that I took from the nose. Definitely that peach. The bready malts come in to balance in the middle. It is nicely balanced. Finish is dry and bitter. Very drinkable IPA.

M: Medium bodied.

Sorry about the quick review.

Pours a light copper with slight chill haze and thick cream-colored head.

Prominent grapefruit note. Some sharp pine resinous aromas as well as a background of syrupy sweetness.

The hops bitterness is well-balanced by malty sweetness. Citrus fruit and an astringent dryness. Delicious.
