Poured into a pint glass

A nice slightly hazy and very typical IPA orange-ish color with a nice and fluffy head of small bubbles. The head shrinks extremely fast but lingers and takes quite a while to actually disappear. The beer also left pretty good lacing. The aroma is great citrus hops. The taste is a wonderful and delicate balance between great hoppy flavor (typical citrus and flowery tastes with a very clean and refreshing bitterness) and a nice maltiness that doesn't overpower the hops, but enhances them quite well. There is a pronounced sweetness that finds it's way onto the palate with this IPA and that is quite uncommon for the style but rather enjoyable. Good and medium to light body. Very refreshing.

This beer is by no means a hop bomb on your tongue, but the flavors are wonderful and it is quite balanced. This is an extremely tasty IPA. Thanks to Commis for the trade.

Gravity drawn cask with Mt Hood hops

A: Slightly hazy golden color with a finger of white foam on top. Retention isn't great, but it's a gravity drawn cask.

S: Loads of peaches and grapefruit, moderate sweetness for the style. Nicely balanced.

T: Starts out with a moderate amount of bitterness with some fruity sweetness just behind. I get a mixture of fruity peachy hoppiness with quite a bit of grassy quality as well.

M: Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation.

O: A nice, balanced IPA, a local favorite of mine. Great hop flavor with moderate sweetness and a nice bitterness.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a standard pint glass. Thanks to my buddy Colt for sending it.

A - pours a medium-light orange with a finger and a half of eggshell white head that dissipates leaving just a bit of lacing.

S - lots of citrus hops. Slightly sweet hops. Maybe some earthly hops too.

T - lots of hops with a slight malt backbone. A nice slightly dirty hop bitterness lingers on the late palate. The front end is a large dose of citrus, piney and slightly earthy hops that is slightly resinous.

M - slightly thin, indicating dryness which I enjoy in IPA's

D - very easy to drink. The large dose of aroma and flavor hops paired with a nice, slightly coarse bitterness and being a drier beer makes this easy to enjoy.

Overall a very nice IPA I'm glad I got to try. I do wish I could try it uber fresh on tap to see if there is a difference.

Serving type: Bottle poured into pint glass.

Appearance: Bright hazy orange, Tall white head, nice lacing, some floaties(yeast?) present in bottle.

Smell: HOPS! Citrus hops, with hint of graprefruit, slight malt scent. Nice bitter hop smell.

Taste: Hops and citrus orange/grapefruit. Some malt taste present. Nice West Coast style hop flavor.

Mouthfeel: Smooth easy drinking texture. This beer has a small to medium thickness that goes well with the style.

Overall: Delicious IPA. I am liking what this brewery has to offer.

In my opinion this is epitome of what an IPA should fundamentally resemble. It's not the greatest but a very good example of the style. It has a good appearance with a half inch head and lacing that hangs around throughout. The nose is a combination of hops and malts that's blended very well. The tongue gives way to hops with a hop/malt backbone. The mouthfeel is moderated with a dry finish. Really like this IPA and will indulge these more. Can't wait to get a growler of this soon. Cheers.

Aroma: Bold, sweet and bitter red grapefuit. Sweet pale malt in the background. Some orange citrus.

Appearance: Bold and bright orange. Medium-high haze. Head is off-white with an orange tint and pours very tall. Great retention and tons of lacing.

Taste: Bold bitter grapefruit followed by sweet orange citrus. The hops are strong, but don't linger harshly like many other IPA's. Decent malt backing, nothing too prominent. Light pale malt. I don't taste and pils malt.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body. Finishes mildly dry. Mild to moderate carbonation.

Overall: Immensely pleasant. Not over the top like most California IPA's, and not bitter piney like many others. There are not too many IPA's that I would want to sit down with a 6-pack of, but this is one of them. Impressive for an unfiltered IPA.
