Enjoy by 8/6/13.

Appearance: Caramel/orange and basically opaque. Thin off-white frothy head. Some lacing.

Aroma: Tons of citrus and a bit of grapefruit. Hop-forward like an IPA should be.

Taste: Starts with all that hop character from the aroma and a creeping bitterness that turns up the intensity halfway through. Finish adds in some bready malt flavor and long lasting dry bitterness in the aftertaste. Good amount of flavor for 6.3% ABV. Just off-balance enough to conform to the style.

Mouthfeel: Just under medium in body with a bit of resin on the back end. A tad overcarbonated in my opinion but still decent drinkability.

Final Thoughts: Not sure how long ago this was bottled but I'd bet it's explosively flavorful when fresh. Lots of bitterness and good citrusy hop flavor. Would I drink it again? Yep.

A- a light clear copper color with a very short-lived white head

S- a little bit of hops, mostly pine

T- mild pine hop notes balanced against the malt backbone.

M- thinner feel with a little carbonation

O- not a bad beer by any stretch. An above-average easy drinking IPA

A: Pours a hazy amber with a huge fluffy white head. Great head retention, moderate thin but widespread lacing everywhere.

S: Nice sweet caramel malt melds with citrusy hops. Gives it a distinct orange marmalade-type aroma.

T: Citrus and tropical fruits. Very nice. Orange, mango, maybe pineapple? Decent caramel backing it up. Bit grainy in the finish. Not hugely bitter but there is a still a decent wave of it in the finish. More of a drying finish than a bitter finish. A well balanced IPA, not so much an in-your-face west coast style IPA.

M: Nice smooth medium body - fairly dry.

O: Good hop flavor, not overly bitter. Well balanced. Easy drinking. Smooth and tasty. Pretty solid across the board but nothing stands out as extraordinary.
