Popping the top to this brew it has a smoky type smell for reasons unknown as it is a wheat beer with blueberry. Pouring into my SAPP I get a brew with a bright golden color and a thin foamy white head. On the taste this brew has a spicy smoky flavor more than a sweet blueberry taste. Mouthfeel is good and the aftertaste is consistent with the upfront flavor. Nothing too spectacular here. Won't seek this one out but would drink it if offered one. (455 characters)

Deep golden hue filtered blueberry ale, not a fan of synthetic fruit beer this is one of those generic golden ales with fake blueberry flavor in the finish. Light speckled head leaves a fine trail of lacing. Aroma has that fruity pebbles blueberry manufactured food additive nose. Flavor is slightly tart with blueberry/citrus notes and even earthy dry grains. Mouthfeel is light bodied meant to be consumed in the warm weather, this beer has probably found it's audience already, sorry I can't do this regularly. (517 characters)

My guilty pleasure beer... Blueberries are my favorite fruit so this is my go-to beer when I'm hungover, drinking early in the morning for some reason, or need to switch from high ABV beers to something more sessionable. (221 characters)

A very pleasant surprise. Figured I hate it, as it isn't big and dark and malty-caramelly-roasty. The blueberries I was pretty sure I'd dislike in there.

I poured it into a regular ol' pint and it produced a two finger head, which settled down quickly and went away. Noticeable but not overpowering smell of blueberries, which also fades as beer warms. When at its coldest, blueberries are subtly but definitely tasted first, and then a rather light but refreshing beer makes itself known. By the end of the glass, the beer taste is coming first and the blueberries are finishing.

I thought the beer managed to strike a nice balance of fruit and beer taste. I can see grabbing a couple more of these in the heat of next summer. (736 characters)

Pours a slightly murky slightly orangeish to straw color with a big white fluffy head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing on a 16oz mason jar.

Smell is really heavy of blueberries and maybe a slight lager yeast smell. I may be getting a little bit of a metallic smell to it as well but it could be just the way the smells blend together.

Taste is very subtle. I get the blueberries right away then a little bit of malts then it goes away into with a crisp finish that is dry and has a slight blueberry aftertaste.

Mouthfeel is watery. To me it is too loose. I would benefit from a little more body here to go with more taste. Carbonation is a little flat once the head dissipates.

Overall, it is not my favorite fruit beer. I know more malty taste could possibly mask the blueberry taste that they want to shine through but this beer needs a little more to it. I dont mind an American Adjunct Lager every now and again but this one is only slightly better than that. (990 characters)

Very light almost honey colored with hints of a cereal or toasted grain with a nice upfront blueberry aroma. After poured the head diminishes quickly to about a half finger width. Also very light on the hoppy side. Has a real light feel to the mouth and its very smooth. If fruit beer is for you this one is worth a try (319 characters)

Have tried this both in bottle and on tap

Nice clear golden color, pours a nice two finger head that lasts.

The blueberry aroma is very sweet and pronounced, but i was pleasantly surprised with the background banana bread aromas

likewise i went into this one skeptical, and came out with a smile. Beats adjunct competition hands down, noticeable blueberry almost overwhelms the wheat taste, I would scale it back some, but it has it's following.

Mouthfeel is a great change-up from typical craft beers….very drinkable.

Overall I would not hesitate to get this one again, I think there are a lot of closet Blue drinkers in the ATL (636 characters)

Pretty tasty, not six pack beer. Prolly one or two glasses, and you'll wanna switch to something else, but a lot less thick and consuming then blueberry beers out there. The blueberry flavor is just right . I really enjoyed this coming from a brew company that does more IPA then anything else (294 characters)

This was a decent beer, it has a blue berry taste to it which is really good. The taste is not too strong or too weak. The smell is a really good smell as well. You can taste the blue berry in it as well, and I like that. If you have not had this beer before and you like the taste of fruit in your beer than you need to try this one. (334 characters)

12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

A: Pours a clear golden color. There's slightly less than a finger worth of white-colored head; it's nicely creamy yet underwhelming in retention. Only a thin ring of lacing is left behind.

S: Does anyone know how Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat smells like Fruity Pebbles? Well to me, this hits a note closer to actual blueberries, but there is a slight presence of that great Fred Flinstone-backed cereal. There are also vague touches of wheat, but this mostly shows off the fruit foremost. Genuinely not bad at all.

T: The first flavor that hits the tongue is the sensation of tart blueberries. It's not that sugary, thankfully. I'll give it some more credit - the blueberries seem natural instead of artificial (suck it Leinie's!) That and a wheaty finish are just about all the flavor profile offers. I can't give it a high score due to that, but it still does its job (being a warm weather refresher) admirably.

M: Creamy yet well carbonated, with a surprisingly neutral (not too sweet or dry) finish. It's just dry enough to be refreshing, and just sugary enough to hit that sweet tooth nicely. Very well carbonated, too. Only complaint is that it could be a touch less slimy on the palate.

O: It is what it is. It's a dead simple yet refreshing fruit beer that's panacea during 100 degree weather. I like how it isn't as cloying as certain fruit beers, also. Not great, but it'll still find a place in my fridge during the summer months. (1,475 characters)

Appearance: Pours a 1” white head that recedes rapidly with light lacing. Color is light golden and clear with a few carbonation bubbles streaming.
Aroma: blueberries are the dominate smell. Can’t really detect anything other than that, maybe a little grassy aroma.
Mouthfeel: light, watery, refreshing with a mostly dry finish.
Flavor: a very mild hop bitterness lingers at the end. Other than that there is some sweet bready malt flavors and a grassy wheat taste. If you like blueberries, you will enjoy this beer. It truly has blueberry flavor without being cloyingly sweet. (584 characters)

A - Pours a bright yellow. Lots and lots of bubbles. small 1/2 finger head that is pretty bubbly. Less than average retention

S - Smells very sweet. The blueberry is present and rules the beer. Smells like a blueberry pie

T - Not nearly as sweet as the smell would indicate. The blueberry is present but balanced nicely by the malts. Another good note is the blueberry tastes like real blueberries and not a fake addititive

M - very light and bubbly in the mouth. Easy to drink and smooth as can be

O - This would be a good summertime poolside beer. I wouldnt want to drink it all the time but its a nice change every once in a while (637 characters)

Nice and crisp. Blueberry isn't wicked overwhelming and has just the right bit of tartness to be intriguing outside of the blueberry taste. Smell is somewhat missing, as there's just a hint of aroma of blueberry on the nose in front of a nearly nonexistent, faint, no - strike that; there is no other smell. Appearance is. Pretty pedestrian as well, with virtually no lacing or head sitting on a mundane gold liquid with a few overachieving bubbles trying to escape. But, for what it is from a style standpoint, it is pretty good and could serve well as a BMC alternative at summer parties. (590 characters)

Press a brilliant golden straw with a foamy white head that dissipates somewhat quickly.

Real blueberries dominate the aroma, with lightly bready malt underlying.

Flavor is more cracker-malt dominant, refreshing, with blueberry sweetness appearing briefly, and finishing slightly tart/fruity. A beer with fruit, rather than vice versa.

Body is fairly light, with moderate to a touch high carbonation. It's crisp.

Better than most fruit beers, in that it still tastes like a decent brew. Good aroma. (502 characters)

Poured a clear and effervescent medium gold with a fizzy white head. The head has minimal retention but does leave a modicum of lacing. There is a pronounced blueberry aroma with a slight hint of the wheat beer base. The taste follows closely with distinct blueberry notes and mild wheat beer characteristics. On the plus side, the blueberries aren't overwhelming or cloying. There is a slight carbonation feel but it doesn't go too far towards fizzy. Not a bad beer and if you like fruit-based flavors in your beer this might be right up your alley. I was hoping for more wheat beer flavors than this provided. (611 characters)

Poured from the bottle into a wheat ale glass.

A nice brass to very light bronze colored body, super crystal clear and nice thin rising carbonation. Head is only about a finger and a fluffy consistency, off white in color and looks ok otherwise.

A real nice fruit character, very noticeable blueberry but also some off putting aromas. A bit of bile, acrid grain senses, but for the most part passable it seems.

A very surprising light palate and much more tolerable and enjoyable than the nose would indicate. Hints of light crisp malt, and a quick carbonation feeling on the finish with tight bubbles on the tip of the tongue. Nice fruit blueberry, doesn't come off cloying, sickly sweet, syrupy, or horrifically tart either. Good clean finish with some almost pils like crisp dry character, but not much chewy wheat backbone.

Overall though pretty tasty for a fruit brew. (877 characters)

Clear golden color bright white 1/2 finger head. Smells of blueberries, some fruity pebble notes from the wheat, a bit of graininess.

Blueberry flavors a little light, but surprisingly complex for a light fruity blueberry (not that it's a complex beer, just for what it is it's complex) Some lightly kilned grains up front with a touch of blueberry sweetness swept up by a bit of sweet wheat and balanced by a dry cereal graininess. Dry finish but with some lingering blueberry sweetness. Medium bodied good briskness. Not bad for a fruit beer.

Refreshing with a bit more to it than fruit (591 characters)

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass date on the bottle says 12/11/13

A: Dark straw with a weak light head.

S: Strong blueberry and wheat smell, it smells exactly like a blueberry muffin.

T: The taste is the same as the smell. There is a metallic after taste but its not to bad.

M: This has a fizzy mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. It is an easy drinking beer though.

O: I would say this beer is worth a try. I wouldn't really want to drink a 6 pack but its a nice beer. I pick it up every now and then when I have a craving for it. (542 characters)

SweetWater Blue has a thin, white head, which fizzes right away, no lacing, and a mostly clear, golden appearance, with an enormous amount of white powdery sediment suspended throughout. The aroma is of blueberries, with an underlying bread smell. Taste is of blueberry, white bread, sweetness, and a slight bitter note. Mouthfeel is medium, and SweetWater Blue finishes semi-dry, refreshing, fruity, and highly drinkable. Overall, this is good.

Appearance: Poured a golden straw like color into a standard pint glass. Two fingers of white head fade quickly, no apparent lacing.

Smell: Definitely some blueberry but more artificial blueberry than say...blueberry pie. A bit of corn and malt in there as well.

Taste: Blueberry, a slight tartness and what you'd expect in a fruit beer. Still a bit too much lager flavor for me but this isn't bad.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a some off flavors, decent carbonation. Somewhat refreshing I suppose.

Overall: Eh, I used to like fruit beers back in the day, this one isn't great but not terrible. Not something I'd drink too often but worth a try if you like fruit beers. (673 characters)

On tap at Canoe at Sweetwater sponsored CRK event.
Slightly hazy deep golden with very little head.
Fine aroma features blueberry: think fine fresh preserves. These is some wheat and barley malt base evident too.
The flavor has good balance, with prominent blueberry but a solid malt base. Only lightly sweet due to a good bit of tartness.
Medium-light body with near medium carbonation.

Crystal light yellow coloring with a wispy light and loose head.

The scent is primarily blueberry but a blueberry muffin aroma seems more dominant. A combination of the blueberry and grain must create this illusion.

The taste is a light blueberry flavor with an even lighter barley malt. The taste is incredibly soft and needs some amperage.

The feel is bubbly, airy and light, with mildly refreshing effervescence.

I'm one to score fruit beers relatively high as I tend to enjoy them but this simply fell short in most categories. (535 characters)

Pours a cloudy amber with a white head which disappears in seconds.

The smell is musty, blueberries, sweet.

The taste is grainy and slight blueberry.

The mouthfeel is light with quite high carbonation.

This isn't terrible but it's pretty average. Tastes like a lager with some blueberry thrown in. (301 characters)

12 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a nonic pint glass

A - It is golden with a chill haze. It had virtually no head. The little bit that was there was white.

S - At first I got a soapy smell. That smell seemed to dissipate. Then I noticed fresh blueberries.

T - The blueberry taste is not in your face. It is subtle. It tastes like a lager with blueberry flavoring.

M - Moderate

O - It is not a great blueberry beer. The base beer taste is too prominent and bland. (463 characters)
