sturdy drinkable beer with a nice blueberry twist... I personally like blueberry so it was great! good carbonation but very light feel and the bitterness kind of overpowered the flavor for me... id drink it but probably wouldn't ask for it... good if your lookin for something a little different. drank from the bottle so no coments on visuals...

Pours a pale golden yellow with fleeting bubbly head. The nose has notes of blueberry, faint grains, and mild grassy hops. The taste is mild blueberries, faint hops, and pale malt. The mouthfeel is light, well carbonated, and crisp.

This is an easily drinkable beer, but the flavors are faint and mellow. There's nothing very spectacular here.

Cloudy straw gold, with a fair amount of carbonation. Lace is thin, about a pinky in size. Spotty.

Nose is nice and blueberry. Reminds me of blueberry muffins, which makes sense as this is a wheat beer with blueberry infusion. Love it!

Taste is mild, but balanced. Nice mix of wheat and blueberry. Definitely a light body here, so this is an easy drinker. Solid, but not outstanding. I could drink more of these, no problem.

12 oz bottle pours a clear, light gold color with a small cap of white head. Not much in the way of retention and lacing.

Nose is pleasant blueberry, bright and strong...albeit a little artificial smelling. Not much else, as far as malt or hops are concerned.

Grain comes out much more in the flavor and even flashes some grassy hop. Blueberry is prominent, but not overwhelming and does not really take the sweet route. What does that all add up to? Unfortunately, a decent but not excellent, fruit beer that is quaffable but forgettable. All the components fight each other and the hop aspect rarely seems to work well in a fruit beer. Im a sucker for a good fruit beer, but Im not sure how soon Id want to roll with this one again.

Pours a clear rich light amber color, I guess copper would describe it better. Mot much of a head or any retention at that. Has some carbonation bubbles swimming to the top.

The aroma is clean with a hint of Blueberries as I would expect. Almost lager like. Grassy hop and nothing offensive.

The taste is light. Not much going on but a hit of blueberry, some mild hops. The malts are light.

The overall feel is light, carbonated, and clean.

Well, this ale is not what I look for in a fruit hybrid, but!!! They description on the bottle does not really lie. It is described as light. I just think the blueberry flavor should have been more dominate.

Courtesy of IrishColonial, thanks Eric! Poured into a nonic pint...

A: Pours a clear, straw-golden color. Two fingers of crisp white head emerge from an aggressive pour and slowly recede to a quarter finger. Light lacing coats the sides of the glass. A nice, light appearance, which jives with what I expect from this beer.

S: I plunge my nose right into the glass and am welcomed by a moderate bouquet of blueberries. Very nice indeed. Not picking up much else, maybe just the faintest trace of bready malt in the background. It's a bit one-note, but the note is hits is a good one.

T: Mmmm, that's very nice. I'm enjoying this a bit past its prime (best enjoyed by date of late Aug 2011), but in this case, I think it's helped. Sweet, creamy blueberries balance well with the faintest of hops. It's light, crisp, and refreshing from beginning to mid. The watery finish leaves a bit to be desired. Still, this is one of the better examples of a blueberry beer I've found. It's not the most complex body, but it captures the blueberry essence perfectly, and in a neat < 5% ABV package.

M: Flavors are well balanced, carbonation is moderate. Loses points for a finish that lacks staying power...simply too watery.

O: It's one of Sweetwater's mainstays, and I can see why. On a hot afternoon, this would go down easy and the ABV would keep it an enjoyable experience. The blueberries shine in this beer better than most, which is surprising considering the fact that this is a relatively light beer. Very good job, Sweetwater. Will definitely make an appearance at my 4th of July party.

Just wanted to try something a bit different.

A- Pours out a real nice light orangle color, partly cloudy. Mid foam head that quickly fades with a mild amount of carbonation.

S- Extremely potent, blueberry right up front and strong. Smells almost like fruity pebbles!

T- Great blueberry taste right out of the gate. Great flavor all the way through. Nice amount of malts which back it up and in the end a very nice mild floral hop flavor.

M- Nice drinkability, Nice fruit flavor which gives it a great bold crisp flavor, Extremely refreshing.

Overall- I really enjoyed this beer especially since I am not a huge fan of this style. Very happy will purchase again. Cheers!

Poured from a bottle into a Chimay goblet

A- pours a transparent shade of light orange with a one finger head that fades instantly. The lack of a head is disappointing, but the beer itself looks great

S- the blueberry smell is super strong and very pleasant. Doesn't smell like a beer at all. Awesome

T- there is a lot of blueberry flavor coming out in this one, with a solid malt backbone too. Getting some very faint floral hops too. Pretty damn great.

M- it's pretty thin, but with how strong the blueberry flavor is, I wouldn't want it to be very thick and get overwhelmed by things

O- this is a really great beer, and I understand why so many in the south love it. I want more!

On tap into a pint glass at the Flying Saucer in Columbia.

Appearance - Clear pale straw body. Looks liek a flat bud light.

Smell - Strong like blueberries. Nothing else.

Taste - Mild corny malt. Mostly tasteless. Mild astringency. Bland. Not offensive; just water.

Mouthfeel - Flat as shit. Watery. Metallic.

Overall Drinkability - Single worst fruit beer I've ever had.

A nice-smelling lawnmower beer. Poured into a pint glass. Almost clear bright gold color. Very quick fading small. fizzy white head. No lacing. Nice fruity aroma....the best part of the beer. Some blueberry flavor in an otherwise very basic lager. Not much else going on.

Mouthfeel is somewhat crisp but a bit weak in the carbonation department, could be slightly less flat.

A pleasant enough, but very average beer.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden color with a thing, two-finger head that settles quickly and leaves no lacing.

Smell: The smell is of wheat followed by a fruity array of scents--blueberries are dominant, but also apricot, apple, and other fresh fruits.

Taste: Super fruity, blueberries all the way through. Can taste the wheat, but the fruit dominates (almost tastes like fruity pebbles), and the finish is sweet and crisp. Big blueberry aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Thin bodied and watery but still refreshing. Ample carbonation; the beer goes down smooth and easy.

Overall: Pretty good beer--a little too fruity for my taste, but I can still appreciate the beer.

Big blueberry smell. A little in the taste. It's a light golden color with a little head. Not much retention. It's one of those summer beers that I sometimes just need to grab when it gets a little warm out. Overall, it's hard to really get down on this beer. It is what it says it is. It's pretty well done and doesn't have the too much of a sweet syrupy taste to it.

The best thing about the beer is the aroma. It is intensely blueberry. The beer poured a strawberry blond color. A small white head dissipated rapidly. It had a decent lager taste, but with very little carbonation and almost no hop profile. If you can say it has a blueberry taste, it would be the sort of tanic aftertaste. It is not unpleasant. Not a bad beer. Fun to drink because of the aroma.

Poured this one into a pint glass little to no head but tons of carbonation. Has a clear yellowish/gold color. Smells of strong blueberry flavor and it is a bit artificial. As you drink this one the front is a sweet flavor but not overwhelming and as it moves to the back the blueberry comes through. I like this one not overly amazed by it. Would buy it again but mainly to support local brewers.

On tap at the Filling Station here in G-boro.Poured a very light slightly hazed golden with a 1/2 finger white head atop.Aromas are mainly toasty cereal grains with a light smattering of blueberry.Toasted flavors and very light sweetness, the bluberry is light and in the finish.Well I gues if you are lookin for a no brainer with a hint of fruit this would be for you,not me.

A - Pours a clear gold color with moderate head and no lacing.

S - Slight smell of blueberries and hops.

T - Taste is amazing for me starts off with blueberries then bread, and finishes very sweet with mild bitterness. Just like drinking blueberry muffins.

M - Light bodied and personally I like the low carbonation.

a: yellow and clear. light head that shows a ton of carbonation in this.

s: buttery blueberry bread. Very nice, I'm getting all muffins in this one.

t: disappointing. A nice blueberry, but this is very watery. Nothing that hints at wheat and it is just a blueberry flavored water. sad.

m: watery, thin. not a fan of this, but the carbonation is at least good.

o: not impressed by my second sweetwater beer. They did a great job with the blueberry flavor and they taste nice and refreshing, but the beer is just too water and thin. There is no wheat presence in this and I would prefer several blueberry beers over this. No need to get it again, but glad I tried.

Pours with a nice 3 finger head which dissipates quickly. Light carbonation. Looks like pale green tea. Smells strongly like blueberries! Tastes light and refreshing...a little watery to me, but I am not very familiar with this style. If you like blueberries and this style, I would say it is worth trying. A nice change of pace, and very pleasant after mowing the yard!

This brew was the first beer after Abita Purple haze that I have tried with any fruit resemblance to it. I loved the smell wow you could open this brew 15ft from me and I would either believe I was at IHOP or you just opened a Sweetwater Blue. Smooth very smooth clean crisp blueberry taste brilliant finish that leaves both beer and blueberry. The alcohol is there but not at all powerful. If you are tired of your girlfriend drinking to many fru fru drinks that cost an arm and a leg buy here one of these and your gold.
