This beer pours a rich brownish red color with half a finger of head that fades quickly. The smell is malty with a nutty and earthly scent as well as a sweet smell that's light. Something like sweet fresh bread. Almost no hops in the smell.
Glug glug glug
The flavor is grassy hops that have more presence than expected with a malt backbone that more complex than many. The malt is earthy with a kind of mineral taste, followed by a more mellow nutty taste that quickly moves to the after taste, which is a balanced mix of hop bitterness and malt backbone, not necessarily sweet.
Over all this is good Brown ale but I wonder if this six pack was a little old. I believe fresh this would be amazing. The mouth feel is not too thin or heavy.
