On-tap at the brewery.

Pours a clear straw color with a half-finger white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving light lacing.

Smells of grassy wheat with mild amounts of light citrus and leafy hops.

Tastes OK. Wheat flavors with light amounts of citrus - orange and lemon rinds - kick things off. Midway through the sip the flavors turn more toward hops - grassy and earthy - and carry through to a crisp finish.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with active carbonation.

Drinkability is alright. I finished my glass without a problem but I'm not sure about another.

Overall I wasn't a huge fan of this beer - I thought it was kind of a stripped down version of their Hummer which wasn't the best beer in the world to begin with. Not worth avoiding but certainly not worth seeking out.

Poured a cloudy golden color with a bit of off-white head.

Smell is wheaty. Not too bad. Not amazing.

Taste is malty with a bit of bite to it in the finish.

Mouthfeel is light bubbley refreshing.

Overall a decent wheat beer. I wouldn't mind trying it again but I probably won't seek it out.

pretty decent stuff for a hot summer day!

cloudy and unfiltered...fast fading head....nice lacing...

smell is of wheat...clean esters....low hop profile...

it taste very similar to the smell....has a slight fruity profile....that really comes out in the taste...

feel is very balanced...thirst quenching....

overall this beer is a pretty decent american wheat ale

Pours a pale yellow color with significant haziness, and strings of carbonation bubbles rising to the top. Bright white head - not very thick and disappears almost immediately. To be honest, this thing looks a lot like a light American Adjunct, but more haze. Strong wheat aroma with a helping of citrusy lime. Decent nose. Taste is very lackluster - the wheat is there...and a slight hint of hops with cirtus/lime. All in all though, the taste is weak. My chick had a sip of it and said "It tastes like water!" My thoughts were along similar lines - wheaty water. Mouthfeel is thin with heavy carbonation. Can't help but think of Budweiser as I drink it.

In sum, disappointment. But I've started to expect that from Sweetwater. C'mon Sweetwater, what are you guys doing? You have it in you to make top notch brews - do you just not care?

I will say though that this is refreshing and easy to drink. But so is water, and that's a lot cheaper.

Poured from 12oz bottle. Thanks to betsona for this one!

A- Pours a hazy pale straw color. One and a half finger white head shows good retention. Nice ring and streaky lacing on the glass with each sip.

S- Wheat makes up the underbody to the aroma in this beer. The front of the beer though has the added help of orange and lemon to help balance out all the wheat aroma. Back of the beer has an interesting yeast aroma which I quite enjoy along with light alcohol.

T- With the first sip of the beer I get a nice apricot and orange blend that dominates over the wheat in the front. There is a light lemon hint but it only really shows toward the ending of the front. Middle of the beer shows off the wheat which kind of blands out the beer but balances it at the same time. Ending of the beer show the wheat in the distance with a light cracker like taste to it. Citrus and hints of ginger comes out as well. Lemon comes up on the final part of the beer with hints of dry alcohol as well.

M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Light wheat, orange, and lemon are left on the palate. Aftertaste is light dry alcohol, wheat undertones, and hints of lemongrass, ginger, and orange. Flavors I felt were well balanced for the style with nothing being over the top. No off flavors at all when drinking this one. Medium light alcohol drying on the palate with this beer.

O- I thought this beer was wonderful. I don't think Andrew cared for it that much but I thought it was a well made summertime sipper. Nice job Sweetwater!

12 oz bottle into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint.

A: It looks like mello yello with small bits of floating sediment and two fingers of frothy white head.

S: Citrus, apricot, some sweet malts, and some yeasty smells.

T: Lemon, grassiness, a little ginger, and a finishing taste of crackers.

M: The body is light and the finish is thirst-quenching.

O: It is just as tasty and "quaffable" as the label suggests!

12oz bottle poured into a Pint Glass.

Pours a hazy gold with a creamy white head that fades to a slight ring and haze. Pleasant aromas of crisp wheat, toasted bread, and citrusy hops. Taste is similar to the nose, fairly hoppy for a Wheat Ale, lots of pungent pine and orange peel. Mouthfeel is crisp and light, with a medium-thin body and good carbonation. Overall a very solid, sessionable Wheat Ale, great on a Summer day!
