12oz bottle, 10 days old!
Pours clear gold with a large white head that leaves some spots of lacing and holds a decent cap.
Aroma is quite hoppy and kinda runs the gamut on hop aromas, earth, grass, pine, floral, and a touch of citrus, if I had to pick one standout it would be the floral aspect. Also a bit of bready malt to balance things out. Nice aroma for an APA, good strength.
Flavor is good, but not quite as impressive as the aroma. Features some floral and grassy/earthy hops, a bit of citrus, decent caramel/bready malt balance with a bit of sweetness, finishes with moderate bitterness for the style, pretty dry, invites sip after sip.
Mouthfeel is rather light, medium carbonation, very easy drinking and sessionable.
Man, what a difference freshness makes. First time I had this, it was pretty weak and I was only midly impressed, but it was probably past it's best by date. Now that I work at a store with a steady flow of super-fresh Sweetwater, I felt inclined to give this another shot and I'm glad I did. Nice APA that's on the lighter side of the spectrum.
Original Review July 12, 2009:
12oz bottle. Pours dark amber/orange with a small head. Nice balance of hops and malts, not going to overpower you which makes it a great session beer.

The color of this beer has a haze of orange color to it. I could taste the hops in this beer. It has a malty taste to it as well. It was not that bad of a beer. It was not my favorite beer from Sweetwater but it was not that bad. It had a bitter finish to it as well. It also finished on the dry side as well.
