12oz bottle best if enjoyed by 11/29/15. Poured into a Monday Night Brewing pint glass. Hazy golden orange with a one inch bubbly white head. Sporadic carb bubbles that eventually die down. Frothy bubbles cling and slide down the glass while drinking. Smell is dank pine, citrus, and a little bready in the backend. Taste is not as hoppy as expected from the nose but still dominate for a pale ale. Citrus, lemon and slight grapefruit sweetness upfront with a great balance of malt. Carbonation is spot on. Great refreshing beer after a nice 15 mile bike ride. Cheers!

Pours a golden-amber color with good clarity. 1+ finger head is off-white in color. Head leaves a decent amount of lacing left behind.

Aroma is a tropical hop and caramel-y malt mix. A bit floral with lemon and orange as well.

Biscuit-y, caramel-y malt. Hops are fairly mild. A bit citrusy. Orange, and pineapple. Some floral notes as well.

Medium bodied with a slight bitter feel on the tongue. Medium carbonation.

A decent pale ale. Easy drinking. Not quite a full blown APA but hoppier than an English Pale Ale.

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker pint.

Pale gold with 2 fingers of explosive creamy white head. Good clarity with lively carbonation.

Dank greens, pine, bright florals, pineapple, and honey.

Pine and bright florals, Honey sweet malt backbone. Lightly dank with touches of pineapple. Finishes with grapefruit zest and pine sap.

Medium-light bodied, smooth, creamy, and semi-dry with a low bitterness.

A very smooth APA worthy of session-ing.

So the pint came out pretty flat. The smell was pretty decent and the taste was smooth. I was hoping to get the Hop Hash but the brewery was out...

I first tried this one at a movie theater. It was poured from a cold bottle into a plastic cup (meh). I was instantly impressed with this brew for one key reason: cannabis. This one has 5.4% ABV and is classified as an extra pale ale.

Look-It pours a mildly hazy golden orange amber color with some thick white foamy head. The lacing is sticky and full.

Smell-It smells of glorious cannabinoids, which is to be expected in a way, because all hops are closely related to cannabis. However, this brew does not simply manifest the hops through means of bitters and alpha acids. Instead, you get a plethora of pungent turpines and oils. The malt aroma is fresh pale ale sweetness.

Taste-An herbal-like zing and some citrus zestiness from the hops dominate the palate. The malts nicely balance everything out and the carbonation pairs well with the mild alcohol content.

Mouthfeel-It is medium-bodied and moist. It has a delicious resin coating on the tongue from the hops that are a close relative to cannabis. The coating lingers for a while and makes the next gulp that much more delicious.

Overall-This beer really surprised me and I haven’t tired one with such noticeable cannabis compounds save for Castaway IPA by Kona Brewing Co. It is delicious and refreshing and goes down so easy. Cheers!

I really like this, very similar to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I like Sierra Nevada okay, but like Sweet Water even better. The bottle said extra pale ale, so I was expecting the bitterness to be stronger than Sierra Nevada. I was wrong, the bitterness in Sweet Water is just right. Tasted superb start to finish. This will be my go to Pale Ale until I find something better.

Nice white head forms thick over the amber-yellow body. Smells sweet, but not overly so. Easy to drink. Nice, simple flavor, with a taste that is strong but far from overwhelming.

L-Pours a light amber-yellowish color. Very thick head that stays for quite sometime.
S-Nice hoppy aroma. I can smell a hint of spice too, thats followed by a slight sweet smell.
T-Slight bitter and hoppy taste. It also has a spiciness that I can't quite grasp. All in all though, there really isn't much else.
F-Pretty thick, also its pretty carbonated.
O-420 is definitely a solid beer and I recommend it to both new and experienced beer drinkers(advocates). It has everything you're looking for in a pale ale. It isn't the most complex thing I've ever drank, but at the same time its easiness to drink is hard to top. Honestly, this beer is one of my go-to beers when I'm out around town. It's cheap, and "craft" enough to suit my taste buds. If you haven't tried it, I would give it a taste.

Clear orange copper brew. Off white head with excellent retention.

Fairly neutral and unassuming aroma; notes similar to flavor profile.

Surprisingly malty brew, sweet with pale and caramel grains, kissed throughout by grassy, herbal hops with a touch of citrus peel. Fairly bitter.

Smooth, a little sticky. Wet finish.

This is pretty solid for an extra pale ale.

8/15/15 Home from Weinlein

Pours very nice. Kind of beer commercial looking. Deep orange yellow with great head, at least three fingers. It does fade fairly quick though.

The smell is kind of sweet. Pick up a little Belgium spice as well.

The taste is different. Kind of dry with a sweet note to it. I do feel like there is coriander or something kind of wit beer in it.

Over a its kind of different but I enjoyed it. Can say I'll be chasing more down but a pretty decent beer.

I am in Georgia for business frequently and will have to try more of the local beers but so far the first I will rate is the Sweetwater420. Overall not a bad Pale Ale with a good smell but the overall taste is nothing special. Not sure if this is fact or fiction but I hear this beer has changed a bit over the years as Sweetwater has become more commercial. I am curious to hear from others who tried this beer 3 or 4 years ago to see if it is still the same beer.

Pours a hazy golden color. Not much head retention. Smells like a pale ale, but very basic. Similarily, it tastes like a pale ale, but also a very basic one. No bells and whistles, no surprises here... but hey, sometimes simplicity is key.

Looks pretty enough, with a bit of cloudiness left over from the bottle conditioning. However, just entirely too hoppy for my tastes. Dominates both the flavor and the feel of this beer, which makes it no better than average to me.

Going back and adding a written review from an earlier rating.
A local offering for me, and a beer that I have been drinking for a long time.
Golden Amber pour with strong carbonation appearance. Minimal head.
Piney hop scent that has a refreshing quality.
Tastes a little sweet with floral hops.
Medium bodied with strong carbonation. Easy to drink.
A good local beer. Always realiable.

I don't typically drink Pale Ales but when I do, this is the one. The taste does not linger on your palate for too long, which I think is a good thing... so I don't get sick of drinking it after one or two.

12oz bottle poured slowly into a shaker pint glass. Best before 07/23/15:

Appearance: Hazy gold-orange. Thin off-white head, some persistent strands of lacing. The haze began to coalesce a bit into yeast sediment towards the end of the glass.

Smell: Orange, fresh cut citrus, some tropical fruit notes.

Taste: Tart/crisp citrusy hops at the front, biscuit-like malt for balance, short citrusy bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: A bit sticky, light carbonation on the palate, a little thin underneath it all.

Overall / Drinkability: No one aspect of the beer really sings out, but overall, the individual components work well together and end up making a nicely crafted beer that is quite drinkable. I would not mind at all having another. A solid example of a APA.

Dark amber color with lots of floaties. Thick and fluffy one finger head, nice retention and lacing. The aroma was flowery, with a touch of citrus and sweetness. The flavors were rather muted, got some piney bitterness, but mostly sweet malt, a bit of a malt bomb, considering it was only three weeks old and kept in the fridge since being purchased. The mouthfeel was rather thin, but had nice carbonation. Overall, a serviceable beer, but nothing extra special.

Reviewed 5-7-15. Threshold glass. BB 5-24-15.

Appearhace: Pours a dark gold/light copper with 2 fingers beige head, foamy. Lots of floaties! It better be bottle-conditioned. Ample, but not excessive carbonation. Nice lacing and retention. 1/8" cap of foam.

Aroma: Fragrant, citrusy and sweet. Mandarin oranges. A little touch of alcohol, though.

Taste: Nice. Tart, hoppy (but not too hoppy) arrival. Slight sweetness across mid-palate. Lingering mild resiny hop profile.

Mouthfeel: Lighter side of mid-weight. Lots of carbonation. Pretty clean finishing for an ale.

Overall: I like it; a very good, serviceable pale ale, if you can get past the floaties.

This is the classic Atlanta beer to many out there. From the bottle, it pours a slightly off gold color with a small head. After you taste it, you understand why it is so popular. Enjoyable.

A- Custom shaped 12oz drops a mostly clear golden brew to two tumblers with a frothy white head. Good retention of the cap before falling to a medium ring depositing a few sheets of lace.

S- Fairly hoppy here with mostly clean yeast besides a bread hint and some pale graininess. Lemon oil, orange zest, flower and herbal hop tones.

T- The yeast becomes slightly more present here with a breadiness and slight esters. Herbal, resin, floral, zesty citrus and a tiny hint of stone fruit from the hops.

MF- Light bodied with a very slight creaminess in the texture but mostly frothy. High end carbonation allows the zesty hops to come out and leads to a light bitterness lingering on the palate.

Easy drinking Pale Ale with floral and citrus peel hops in a frothy light body.

Poured a gold/orange color. Nice one finger head that lingered throughout the beer. Smells of tangerine and sweet fruit. Tasted more of the fruit and some pine with a hint of bitterness. The feel was a lighter bodied beer that went down real smooth. Overall I would drink this beer again, great summer beer.

This is a really great Pale Ale. I had it on tap at Hammerhead Fred's in Panama City Beach, FL. I would put this up there in my group of favorite Pale Ale's, which are hard to find done well. The only ones that top this are Faction Brewing's Flagship Pale Ale and Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale.

Would absolutely purchase and drink again.

Tangerine hop aroma. More malt than hops in taste. Not quite the "west coast style pale" it proclaims to be. Too sweet and not enough bitterness/hoppiness.
