12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a minimal head that has reduced to a thin layer. It is a pale orange color with a slight haze to it and a few bubbles coming up through the glass.

Smell: Slight citrus aromas and slight caramel and bready malts.

Taste: citrus is a little more noticeable, but a light taste of hops here. Sweetness and chewiness from the malts are nice.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium bodied, low to medium carbonation, and easy to drink.

Overall: A nice offering from Atlanta, but Terrapin's pale ale is more enjoyable. It was good to have tried another brew from this Southern brewery.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from 12 oz. bottle into Tampa Bay Brewing Company pint glass.

A: A nice-looking gold color, fairly clear, with good visible carbonation and a one-finger white head.

S: Pale and cracker malts, and a bit of pine hops.

T: Cracker malts, some light hop presence (pine and bitterness).

M: Medium to light body, good carbonation sensation. A very pleasant drink.

O: Pleasant beer. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to seek one out, but as far as an easy-drinking, sessionable beer in a six pack, I'm glad to have them around. If they would can this, it would be perfect to take golfing.

Enjoyed this on tap at the Lagerhaus in Palm Harbor Florida.

A: Pours a golden-copper hue with a 2-finger white head that quickly dissipates into a wispy lace.

S: Pleasant hoppy and malty aroma.

T: More bitter than sweet flavor with great mix of hops and malt.

M: Medium body and medium carbonation.

O: Good session beer ipa.

Poured into a pint glass
A: Aggressive pour yields 1 finger of slightly off white head with good retention. Light golden color, slightly hazy.
S: Slight hop floats on caramel and honey malt. Slight cardboard. More hops please! Otherwise quite nice. Like an English Pale Ale or a Bitter.
T: Malt up front with honey dominating. Lightly bitter hops follow: Centennial? Again, seemingly an EPA or Bitter. Not hoppy enough for an APA. Not hoppy enough for me to rave about also. Still very tasty and drinkable.
M: Slightly chewy, smooth, gently bitter.
O: Easy drinker. I could have another 2 of these. Probably not hoppy enough to make it a go to. A nice session beer though.

Sweetwater 420 pours a hazy golden color with an excellent head. The aroma is a muted grain and citrus affair. 420 fairs much better on the tongue, with a mellow citrus hop over grainy malts. Very refreshing and flavorful. The mouthfeel is a bit fuller than expected, and the drinkability is great. 420 is just an excellent beer to kick back and relax with. It's tasty and easy to drink.
