Been 3 times, straight tourist style, going pre-bravos game. I'm from Charleston SC so all of our breweries could fit inside of Sweetwater. Beer is good as expected and it's a really cool sceen, a few different areas to drink in, the upstairs location is best in summer, but also very packed. Would be better if only 60% of the crowd was there, but i can;t complain since i'm a tourist.

They have most of their traditional store available beers for pour. They will sometimes have a few of the lesser available. You get a glass + some drink tickets for 10 bucks. Tours are good. Several tasting rooms (outside patio, original building two bars, new construction up stairs two bars). Upstairs bars have large windows overlooking shop floor. Enjoy going when I'm back in town. Wish the hours werent so shitty now though.

SweetWater is a great spot. The tour is short and sweet, but the Beer is sweeter. Ample pours with the tour and 4 or 5 beer's it give a great tasting.

$10 for a souvenir glass and six tickets for reasonably portioned samples of their spot on beer (1 ticket each for standard beers, 2 tickets for the high gravity). They also offer free tours (included in the $10) as well as access to two different floors, and an outdoor patio to satisfy those who prefer a dynamic environment while enjoying their brew. Long story short, a great place to visit, or host a party, and drink quality beer.

Really cool place. Went to the brewery when I was in town and took the tour. If I remember correctly the tour cost around $7 and you got a pint glass and 3-4 samples of beers. Sweet Water is really cool place with a really cool vibe. It was a nice day in June and they had a blue grass band playing outside. I tried their 420, Road Trip, Blue, and Exodus. Really enjoyed them but wasn't to crazy about the Blue. The tour was nice and the tour guide was a lot of fun and informative.

I've been to their old place and their "new" place.

They have a very nice tasting room. My main fault with it is that it is very loud and could use some sound absorbing materials. It does tend to get very busy, I recommend getting there early. They have a nice outdoor space. They often have live bands and food trucks present.

The brewery tour is pretty impressive to me, because I've seen where they came from. You see all their tanks, their refrigerated storage, and their bottling line.

Wish I could go more often.

Sweetwater Brewery is the largest of the Atlanta area options for brewery tours/tastings . That being said, this place is very spacious with indoor and outdoor space. It draws a large crowd, but also has the widest variety of beer and has plenty of high quality brews. $10 gets you a souvenir pint glass and 6 tickets. Most beers are worth one ticket with high gravity and special releases worth two. I have never seen their Dank Tank series on tap, but apparently they occasionally have it. I would definitely recommend checking out Sweetwater or going after work while traffic settles down.

What a great place! For 10 bucks you get a 12oz/pint glass and six samples of beer on tap on the serving room. The tours are short but very cool! The vibe was great, lots of laughter and smiles. It was very loud inside and out because it was the Friday evening mega crowd. The beer selection wasn't all that great but they just incorporated a new small batch program that only brews a 15bbl batch of brew by the brewers there. This small batch is never bottled and is only sold on tap at the brewery, once it's gone it is gone. Overall an awesome place with good vibes and great beer for an amazing price!

Lots of parking space if you get there early, the ticket its only 10 bucks and gets you a glass, 6 samples and the tour
Its an industrial area where there is not much going around, the tour in itself its pretty quick and simple, nothing sophisticated, no barrel aging, just a quick tour for you to see the fermentation tanks and bottling lines
Beer is good as you already know some good offerings and i was disappointed they only had 1, yes just 1 lot of their limited release beers

Fun place to hang out. Had about 8 of their beers on tap. Tour was really fun, had a great guide. GA brewery laws suck so you have to "buy a tour" but you get a glass and tokens for 6 pours- 6oz each. However if you want more, you just "buy another tour." The system isn't the brewery's fault, but does suck compared to those in AL, where you just buy on demand.

I've been here several times over the past years. The brewery has grown so much I need to base my review on the most recent couple of visits. Lively, relatively young crowds are characteristic. Live music is frequent. There's plenty of space, especially if the weather is good or the upstairs bar is open. Excellent tours of their impressive facility. Always a good mix of beers on tap (with an excellent selection at one of their special events) served by friendly and knowledgeable personnel.

Went there during the 4th of July weekend, so it may have been a little more crowded than usual.

The tour starts at 2:30, which means that is when they let everyone in and the tour/tasting begins. The tours are actually fairly short, and they begin in the tap room and move about 25 min through the facility. Not as technical a tour as at other places, the focus is more on telling the Sweetwater story, and having fun, which is fine with me. If you are looking for an under the hood type tour, this may disappoint.

The lines outside are split, cash or credit only. The cash line gets an older souvenir glass, and you hand the nice people a $10 spot and proceed immediately to the taps! The credit line moves you to another hidden line inside (al LA Disney) where there are 4 credit card terminals. A little longer, but bearable, and on my day, we got a different glass offering.

The taps will sample you ALL of the current available Sweetwater offerings, about 6 oz of each. They also have two taps outside as well as live music on the patio. Seating is limited to nonexistent, so be prepared. They have a gift store with all the usual swag.

I recommend bringing a friend, there is a lot of standing and it can be crowded. Be in line early, and bring a DD.

This is a must stop for any beer enthusiast visiting Atlanta. While there are a lot of good beer destinations in ATL, this place is the real deal. Authentic southern craft brewer from 97 that continues to pump out good beer and increase its distribution. Maybe ATL was late to the craft brew scene, but SWB was there at the start (at least for GA). Great vibe, great people, and good to excellent beers (try their IPA). I only gave a lower score on the selection because what they were serving was limited to what's commercially viable, vs. having a selection of one offs at the brewery itself. That said, they did have a the Hash Session IPA on cask, which was great, although served a little colder than expected.

Attended one of the "happy hour" tastings that they have at night from 5:50 to 7:30. Ten bucks gets you a pint glass you can keep plus 6 tasting tickets. Pretty good deal.

Weather was great so most people were hanging outside, they had a very good band playing covers of classic rock and blues tunes. They had a couple of corn hole games set up too. Dog friendly outside, as there were a lot of pooches.

Great lineup of diverse styles of beer, so something for everyone. And good quality, no bad beers among the bunch.

Definitely recommend.

Cool venue, but I think the GA beer laws hurt this tour compared to other breweries of the same size. Cost is about $10, which gives you 5 or 6 pours. They had all the core beers on draft as well as a cask. Tour was optional, we basically just went to drink and did not check out the facility. Not many days/times offered, but we went on a Wednesday.

Sweetwater Brewery has really expanded lately. It is a super cool place to visit, however, it is a solely a brewery so there should be no expectations for food. Costs $10 bucks to enter and that price gets you 6 tickets and a free pint glass. These tickets are used to sample the beers and they are plenty. They will have 5-8 beers on tap and sometimes the "Dank Tank" will be on tap. This is a special beer brewed every month by the master brewer. He gets to create his own wild concoction and it is there for the crowd.

With TV's to watch and large bar to taste from, this place gets packed. It's only open on Saturday for tours and sometimes there will be live bands performing outside, depending on the weather. Brewery tours start every 20 minutes. Overall, I would say that if you are in the South and heading up I-85 on Sat, definitely stop by.

Great, but it's gotten too big, and these days you generally have to wait in line to get in, then wait to get beer. The service isn't actually bad by any means, it's just usually packed out.
Wait for one of their events, like Brew Your Cask Off, or go on a Wednesday or Thursday so you have room to breathe.
Beers are always great, and they change up the Dank Tanks and have a great rotation of seasonals.
