On-tap at City Beer Store (SF). The look was standard IPA - orange and see-through with decent head + retention. The smell was strong citrus, orange, lemon, and graprefruit. The taste was lacking in the citrus but strong on the pine. The pine taste was due to strong resin that made this thick on the palate and harder to drink. Not my favorite Berryessa, but still pretty good

Growler purchased from the brewery the previous day, poured into tulip.

A: Pours a dark burnt amber color with a very greasy resinous light tan head that faded into an oily film. Sheets of sticky lacing were left down the glass. You can definitely tell there are a lot of hops in this beer just by looking at it.
S: Huge grapefruit and citrus rind nose, very fresh and citrus-centric. I might detect a hint of mint as well.
T: More citrus hops with great notes of fresh grapefruit pith. Slightly sweet caramel malt undertones are just barely noticeable through the bitter hoppy onslaught. Finish is slightly sweet with a clean malty sugariness, and the aftertaste is full of ambiguously bitter citrus rind.
M: Medium-full body, wet, slick, hop resin mouthfeel, soft carbonation.
O: Probably their most polished and well-rounded hoppy beer I've had. If they bottled this it would fly off the shelves.

On tap ay Final Gravity. This beer came as a very pleasant surprise. Pours a bit dark for an ipa. Smells great, nice hop character. Tastes bitter but balanaced. Lots of floral characters and a kick of bitter. Good mouthfeel. Outstanding from a small local brewery
