Quaint Vermont deli, market, country store with decent selection of New England beers and always the popular Sip of Sunshine and Heady Topper. Good food to go as well.

Nice second option place for the Waterbury area just on the South side of RT 89 and to the west of the traffic circle, about to go west on RT 2, this gas station/convenience store is not exactly the cleanest of options for a beer store, but their beer selection will definitely turn some heads. Don't buy the hot food here, as it seems to sit there for too long. Deli area is pretty good, though, when in a rush, I don't mind grabbing one of those sandwiches.

A gas station/deli/mini mart that has access to some really great beers. Used to be a perfect spot to pick up extra heady and SoS after the more popular places ran out. Now those brews seem to be everywhere so not much need to stop unless its convenient or your filling up on the way out of town.
The staff is all friendly and they have a good selection of local brews overall.

This is a very unassuming spot, just on the edge of Waterbury off Rt. 2. From the outside it doesn't look like much.
If you are looking for something special ask someone at the counter cause chances are they have it behind the counter. That being said, the store has actually a very large selection of beer wine and spirits, with the beer being quite plentiful, well organized, and in good sections of foreign, bombers, packs, and some items in coolers.
Staff is eager to help, and if not able to answer will find someone who has more knowledge such as the manager who has no problem answering anything. Good selection here, and worth a stop if in the area just to see what is around.

One of those spots you will find something at, and is on the way to Pro Pig or back onto the highway with stuff in both directions. Always good for a look, but don't expect this to be a necessary stop.

Gas station/ deli on the outskirts of Waterbury. Very large an varied beer selection with a lot of top-notch local offerings, and a well curated variety of national and international brands. (Best price I've ever seen for FiftyFifty Eclipse.) The rest of the deli is pretty typical of any gas station deli. Stop for the beer, eat in town.

Very nicely located at a stone's throw from I-89.
This is a convenience store/gas station so the atmosphere is what it is. Service seemed pretty slow even with 2 cashiers. Selection was pretty good. All the locals plus 5 different Founders, Paper City, Maine and others. The cashier said they couldn't split a six or four pack yet there was some broken apart so not sure about that.
Overall, a good place to stop when in town to pick up some HT at The Alchemist. Still, go an extra fifteen minutes to Hunger Mountain, it's worth it.

This place is basically a convenience store that carries more than the usual amount of beer. They still sell mostly BMC but do carry most VT beers and a pretty good selection of major craft beers, including quite a bit of Victory and North Coast, among others. Oddly, they seem to have Bigfoot on sale most of the year, not that I'm complaining. Don't go here looking for a specific beer, but you will likely find something acceptable if you're in the neighborhood.
There is also a small deli with pretty good grinders, but again, certainly not a destination. Service is pretty friendly for this type of establishment.
