Served on tap from the brewery. Light orange and cloudy in color with a minute white head. Aroma is faint oranges. Taste is bitter with a lot of orange highlights with a grainy finish. Thin texture, almost watery. Not bad.

On-tap at the brewery itself during brunch, on to the beer:
What the heck is this? The beer is glowing yellow-orange and topped with a small head with modest retention. One smell, and I'm still wondering what Grovey is supposed to be. An orange pale ale? In fact, it smells like the peel of an orange, bittersweet, and a little hoppy.
I was hoping this would go into the fruit beer category and yield a fruity tasting beer. Instead, it tastes like the peel of an orange squeezed into a pale ale. It's very bitter, with bitter orange peel and bitter pale ale, barely a trickle of sweet orange nectar. Not as appealing as I hoped. Somehow, I find a way to drink it, but not enough to convince me for a second try.
