I found this place in Krakow after looking at some tourist lit. Seemed like a good bet for something good.
They carry about 200 beers. There is no list, just bottles on a wall to choose from and the 8 or so taps with a few interesting things. The number of beers is definately a novelty, padded by about one hundred similar tasting pale lagers.
Service was good and staff tried to be helpful when they knew how to be. They always recommended something along the lines of what I was looking for, but when I asked for something bitter, the response was 'uhhhh.' A Polish relationship with hops has not developed yet.
I had to ask for a glass with each beer as well, but staff caught on after a while.
Prices were good, nothing was expensive. And selection included tons of lagers and wheat beers with a good spattering of baltic porters from smaller Polish breweries.
I noticed the quirky trend of girls drinking wheat beers from the bottle with a straw in it. Odd.
Not a bad place in Krakow and definately worth a shot if you wanna try some cool beers from Polish micros.

This specialist beer bar on corner of Tomasza and Krzyza is one of three bars in Krakow with a large selection of beers, both Polish and imported (the other one being the Beer Gallery opposite and also on Dominikanska) It opens daily at 2pm. Consists of bar area with three adjacent smaller rooms with chairs and tables, and a basement seating area open in the evenings. Beer is served at the bar (NOT a waiter service) At time of visit there were 8 beers on tap, all from small local Polish brewers, including two from Ciechan a strong lager and an IPA style hoppy beer, both of which were very good. There is also a large selection of bottled beers, many from Polish brewers and also good selection from Belgium, Germany and USA, even some from Ukraine.
The bar staff spoke good English and had a good knowledge of the beers, and were more than happy to offer advice and recommendations. Beer price is very reasonable, most beers on tap were PLZ8-10 bottles a little more depending on strength of the beer and if imported. Cheaper than any bars in the main square, though not waiter service of course.
Was fairly quiet and easy to get a table and seats early afternoons, but by evenings - especially Friday and weekends, very busy, standing room only sometimes, though we always managed to get a seat somewhere.
Highly recommended when in Krakow, giving you the opportunity to try local Polish beers outside the usual Tyskie and Zywick !
