Pours a orange amber with a huge expanding soapy head. Smell is malty and sweet with slight hint of floralness. Taste is toasty and sweet with little bitterness and an easy drinking body. Little lingering after taste. Overall a sweet toasty pale ale, worth a try.

Decent beer. Good on a hot day. Pretty tasty and I prefer porters stouts and brown ales. I like this beer though.

Visual: Yellowish-orange. It had the same color of dehydrated piss, but this was far from the flavor of the beer...

Scent: To be straight forward, it smelled like malt liquor and tin can. But I'm sure the tin can smell would disperse if poured in a glass.

Flavor: The initial taste began with the familiar perfume-like taste of hops, and finished with a more mellow oatmeal taste. I feel like the oatmeal aftertaste limited the refreshing factor of the beer.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and lightly carbonated. It was easy going down.

Overall: It should be noted that this is an OATMEAL PALE ALE. I drank this beer out of the can due to the lack of availability of bottled Deep Ellum beverages, and due to the fact that I could care less about drinking out of a goblet. Out of the three Deep Ellum beers I have tasted so far (Deep Ellum IPA, Deep Ellum Dreamcrusher IPA, and Deep Ellum Pale Ale), this one comes in second place behind the Deep Ellum IPA.
