Had this beer the other night at a local spot called Juls in Tyler,Tx. Great west coast style ipa with a Texas twist smooth and refreshing! Pick it up if you can you will love it. Lots of fruits but not real bitter goes down easy. If you like Modus Hoperandi you will like this beer. Keep Drinking!!!

Got this in a trade, and I'm so glad. I was really impressed by the smell right away as I opened the can. It was a very clean IPA and felt really drinkable. The lacing was nice, but decreased as I continued to drink. Would definitely drink and buy again.

Pours burnt orange with just a bit of haze and foamy white head. Nice lacing. Smells of piney hops and citrus. Both follow through in the taste, with malt, orange and lemon. Nice bitterness hangs on the tongue. Medium mouth with a touch of carbonation. Everything seems to balance well. I always enjoy these.

From can to shaker pint.

About two-finger's of off-white and cratered-top foam. Good retention and thick lacing. Opaque caramel - honey orange body.

Sweet aromas from this IPA, also a soft nose, hard to pull anything out of the beer. There is a touch of tangelo, honey, and a caramel malt.

The palate has more of a piney, earthy, and peppery quality. The finish hits with more pine and aspirin, a crackery malt becomes noticeable as well. English IPA flavors more so than American.

Decent wallop of bitterness and slightly dry finish. Totally appropriate light-medium body and good creaminess.

Deep Ellum IPA does not do anything fancy. However, the beer drinks easily. It tastes more like an English IPA than an American hopped IPA, so that is a bit disappointing. Still, I am glad I got to try it, thanks Darthvohn!
