Stopped in yesterday on my way home from work. I had heard good things from a friend so I wanted to stop in a check it out myself. Really easy to find since its right across the parking lot from Wegmans. The store was a little cluttered and disorganized but I believe this was due to a large shipment they just received. A couple people were working on the piles of boxes to get the new product out on the shelf. The store is definitely wine focused but the beer selection didn’t disappoint. All the normal brews available in MD were present and accounted for (Flying Dog, New Belgium, Troegs, etc.) However the Belgian beer on the back right wall of the store was impressive. Lots of stuff I haven’t seen at any other stores in Frederick. Guy was working and ready to answer any question we had. He is on top of his game and a wealth of information about what they have, what they are planning on getting and everything else beer related. The prices were fair in my opinion. We did a little digging and found a couple bottles of Firestone Walker’s XV which was a nice surprise. They also have a beer club but I didn’t get the full info on what it was all about, you’ll just have to stop in and find out.

This was my first visit to this particular establishment. This particular store is upscale, nicely laid out and well presented. That being said, nothing about the selection was especially interesting. This store has a good sized selection of beers. I really didn't see any beers here to get my heart racing though.
I've heard that this store has a "beer guy" that's supposed to be a local beer expert. Apparently he wasn't working when I stopped in. I asked a few routine questions, mostly for recommendations in specific styles. The staff on duty were polite, but didn't really know what to say when I asked. The prices were ok, although a little higher than I'd expect.
Overall, this is a nice store run by nice people. If you stop in just know that you won't find anything spectacular and the staff on duty may not necessarily have the most beer knowledge.

I work right down the road at ft deterick, and this is my go to place for beer, i occasionally make stops at ye old, and old farm, but for living in this area this is for sure my go to place, they mostly showcase wines but probably one quarter of the store is all beer, the atmosphere is inviting, the store is top notch, the service is outstanding their beer guru (guy fritz) is an outstanding he knows everything about every beer, incoming shipments, quality, and he make some damn good recommendations...very personable, the value is reasonable...and their are always gems in the store, some are hidden just make sure u take a good look around and you will find what ur looking for
