On-tap at a local gastropub that has this summer seasonal regularly.

Appearance is of a golden yellow-orange with some copper hues. Thick head with good retention and lacing. Color on the head was off-white. Fruity aroma with spices and yeast. Carbonation on this was good, not too much and not too little. Mouthfeel was a soft medium, but the carbonation gave it its fullness. Nice collaboration overall. Like the spices in the beginning and hoppy finish with some floral notes, finished dry. Easy to continuously sip. Not a huge fan of overwhelming hops, but this one fits my palette perfectly.

Very large head of at least four fingers. It recedes slowly and in a rocky fashion. Leaves only a few spots of lace on the glass. The liquid is orange amber and cloudy.

Pale malt with a touch of orange sourness to the nose. Light floral hop behind this. Even lighter Belgian yeast aroma.

Mild lightly toasted malt up front. The swallow becomes harsher with biting pine-like hop and the yeast notes. The long-lasting aftertaste is stronger still with plenty of black pepper and lingering raw hop on the roof of my mouth. The body is appropriate but the carbonation is quite high.

12/31/13 From bottle. I mentioned to the merchant that I had just discovered St. Feuillien's triple and was shown this Belgian Coast collaboration that was the from the Green Flash crew expedition to Belgium to create this brew.

I'm big on Belgians but have a low tolerance for the usual overly hopped Green Flash output. This substantiated my view.

I look at hops the same way I look at chilies in food. I consider timidity and brashness equally off-putting and this is over the line. Barely. To that 'one is plenty' spot. Nice body & perhaps a bit more sweet would have let the Belgian yeast sing through, but it tasted like an experiment, not an experience.

This was quite a pricey brew.

A thick Belgian IPA. Nice spiced hop tones combining with thick yeasty flavors. Could probably deal with less of the latter and more of the former. But it's still nice. Consistent too. One and done for me though, because of the price.

11.2 ounce bottle....(Did I really pay $5.39 for the single bottle!?! WTF, should have checked the sticker price a bit closer)

Medium almond amber, a huge head results from a moderate pour. Fluffy and frothy and slowly relaxing down to a thicker film and leaving nice fine wispy lace.

Ripe tropical fruit nose.

I'm kinda disappointed with this one, sort of mushy mouth feel wise and quite on the mellow side hop wise. Two fine brewers but really no fire works here. Everything seems kinda muted, not what I was expecting from Green Flash and St F.
