On tap at the Saucer

Clear deep gold/copper with a slightly off-white head. Leaves some splotchy lacing.

Sweet hop aroma. Apricot, peach, orange, grapefruit, and a little pine.

Big bitter bite. Medium smooth body. Big grapefruity hop flavor.

Awesomely easy drinking.

On tap at capital city tap room. Sacramento, Ca
Appearance is marvelous; Clean, completely transparent copper color, head retention is massively sticky and resinous for a 7.3% abv. Smell is grapefruit, straw, grass, and pine. Taste, much like the smell, pine finish throghout', lots of grapefruit and back of the toungue bitterness, plenty of bite. Mouthfeel is very light, with some sticky-ness left on the toungue..if u need a punch in the ass of hops, with a malt back bone slightly apparent, then this is for you. Profile is cascade, mosaic I believe, not too complex, but reined flavor profile. Overall a simple hop head delivery, with slightly much bite of the hops with the grassy and piney notes, yet missing some floral qualitries, for me. Would be great with spicy food, manchego, spanish gambas/lamb-croquettas.

On tap at Gormet Haus, Redwood City CA. $6 per pint.

Nice light caramel copper color. Solid head and head retention. Sticky lacing on the glass leaving beautiful rings with each sip.

S - earthy dank and pine which smells fresh. This is followed by a sweet citrus including oranges and apricots.

T - follows nose perfectly but there's a bit of a somewhat prickly finish.

M - Well balanced between the malts and the hops. The hops steal the show, upfront and in your face, but there's that good malt backbone on the back end balancing everything out. Resinous, but finishes dry and crisp. Some might say bitter. Pretty easy to knock down a few of these.

O - solid IPA all around. Raw, yet somehow refined at the same time, resinous and fresh. Recommended if you run into it.

On draft at Tap and Barrel, Smithtown, NY.

Poured a medium copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured tropical fruit, herbal spice and a touch of caramel.

The taste consisted of a drying herbal hop with an earthy sweetness. Strong residual hop spice noted.

The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style.

Overall a tasty DIPA.

On tap at Hops and Pie, $7 a pint (yowza). Looks like a standard west coast, orange, sticky lace, good head. Aroma was pine, dank, citrus. Flavor was pine, dank, oranges, so west coast. This is pretty much what I've been missing from Green Flash since their bottled beer is always old here. This reminds me if the first time I tasted west coast IPA, great stuff.
