green flash doing here what green flash does best, making delicious hoppy beer. this one is cool, more of a base ipa than some of their others, which are all just enormous, i could actually have several of these. tropical hop profile all in the finish, delicate grain base with a sweet tangy finish that reminds me of a sprinkle of dextrose on the tongue, which i wouldnt be surprised if they used it for alcohol to keep the beer light in feel, which it definitely is. smooth and creamy in feel, with a barley bitter hop complexion and so much radiant fruit to it, juicy and super fresh. so frothy looking and feeling that its almost nitro in that way, but its not. on tap at spruce, a real cool new place next to river north brewing. as awesome on the hops as any of the green flash ipas, but this is one i could drink all afternoon. stoked they put this one out, its unique and delicious. more please.

Golden amber with minimal head. Strong notes of pineapple on the nose with hops. Taste is well balanced with notes of sweet tropical fruit including pineapple, with mild citrus and bitterness of hops resin. Solid IPA.

Decent IPA, nothing special but decent...
I've had so many IPAs that I'm at the point the ones I come across now, unless there is something truly special from the first sip, I just relegate it to a "solid" or "decent" offering, depending how my vocabulary is feeling that particular moment. This IPA falls into that category - decent in that it look pretty good, smells okay, has a crisp mouthfeel, and tastes, well...decent. Not something I would go out of my way to find but if handed one in the future, I would not turn it down.

Look is very nice, rocky, white head and bronze color with minimal haze. The smell is also very nice, something like ripe mango and lemon. Taste and mouthfeel fall a bit behind. Taste is very fruity at the start and middle, but gets very bitter at the end. Mouthfeel is a bit light for me, but still nice.

Golden and perfectly clear body with almost no head
Nose on the pine, and a bit of elderflower
The taste follows with a light grapefruit bitterness
Fine carbonation, silky mouthfeel
Not an in your face brew but a very drinkable and balanced one

"Best by 12/17/15"; drank 7/26/15 @ the Yarchives.
See-through orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; a curtain of lace.
Orange citrus & pineapple notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mild orange citrus & mango flavors up front; a bitter finish.
I liked where this was headed but the fruit notes are too mild & the bitterness is too strong. Close but no cigar.

An interesting take on your West Coast IPA, the way the hops are balanced is unique. Although maybe just for the first few sips only, after that you soon get used to the taste and it becomes a “usual” West Coast, but it is just good as it is. It is well balanced, medium malt body with slightly more bitterness than your usual IPA.
I was satisfied with this beer and with all the Green Flash repertoire, will seek it out in the future if possible. Simply said, a good IPA.
