Poured from 12oz bottle into A pint glass
A - huge head, beautiful, thick nice lacing. head lasted for several minutes. color is light orange brown.
S - aroma released nicely during pour. grapefruit and pine dominate, maybe a touch of vanilla. about what i expected, but always a nice aroma, very little evidence of malt.
T - nice bitterness, pine with less grapefruit than in the smell. more malt coming in. really good example for the style.
M - medium body, carbonation a little less than I expected from the pour. Easy drinking, could see tipping quite a few of these.
O - my first Green Flash. I will be seeking out more of there offerings. Really enjoyable.

the green flash was first tried in philadelphia at ortleibs. a great little place to see good music and enjoy several craft beer options. good people make everything more enjoyable and the staff there were friendly and helpful, and deftly navigating a busy hipster crowd. the green flash delivers mucho hops to your face and leaves your palate covered in it. smells like beer and i like beer smells. this is an ipa that is not for those who don't like ipa's, its an ipa drinkers beer... and i recommend this beer called the green flash.

Poured 12oz bottle into tulip glass
A: dark honey color with decent head that produces heavy lacing with every swallow.
S: pine and some citrus; hop dominant
T: pine, citrus Some malty sweetness mid-palate and then finishes with a tingling hop resin taste. Hop bitterness prevalent
M: medium bodied; very dry.
O: great IPA with some unique qualities in the subtle malt intertwined with big hop flavors and that tingling sensation from strong hop bite at the palate's end. Great IPA!
