The majority of the 12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: The beer pouored a dismal head that has reduced to a thin layer. It is an amber copper color with some clarity and tiny bubbles and floaties seen in the beer.

Smell: citrus and pine hoppiness, which is followed by sweet caramel and bready malts.

Taste: The beer has this lingering bitterness that is a bit much. The malt does balance out the hops to a certain extent, but I personally don't remember the bitterness being that bad all the times I have had it on draft.

I waited a few more minutes to let the beer warm up and everything was fine. The super nice maltiness balances out well with the hops. Now this flavor brings back many memories.

Mouthfeel: smooth, medium to full bodied, medium carbonation, and easy to drink once the beer got closer to room temperature.

Overall: Pretty solid IPA by the boys out west. Prefer draft over bottle, but this was still good.

This was one of the Best IPAs I've ever had. Really great, citrusy hop profile, a great example of the West Coast IPA.

Appearance: Somewhat dark for an IPA, sort of an burnt orange color. Not a lot of head and pretty much no lacing.

Smell: Great. You get the hops and the citrus right off the bat, but it's clear that there's enough malt here to balance.

Taste: As the label of the beer says, this beer is "Extravagantly Hopped." The citrus is enough to balance the bitterness, but if you shy away from more dry beers this wouldn't be for you.

Mouthfeel: Really nice, pretty thick mouthfeel. Decent carbonation. Not the smoothest beer ever, but at 7.3% ABV this isn't meant to be a smooth session beer anyways.

Brilliant IPA with a very bitter taste pairs great with spicy Tex-Mex food. A deep appearance with a reddish tint. Smooth drinking however has a very bitter taste. Recommended for drinkers who like a strong, flavorful IPA. Drank with burritos and salsa and paired very nicely

12oz bottle poured into a Pint glass.
A- rich copper and a light hazy amber on the top and bottom. A rich, frothy head that stays about a quarter inch thick and leaves great lacing.
S- Big aroma, grapefruit, orange, tangerine and earthy pine on the back.
T-Sweet malt with a good hop bite. Like a good west coast IPA, very sweet and pleasant bitterness throughout the glass. At 7.2% this beer is surprisingly drinkable.
M-Again, goes down easy, dry finish and a caramel like malt that allows all the hops present to come alive.

Great beer, I really enjoy this one. I think the 'classic' C' Hop west coast IPA. It's not my favorite but Green Flash always nails it on this one.

Got back to a local tavern for a second (and third) pint of this classic West Coast IPA. Big pine and fruit hops and a great bitter finish. Crisp and refreshing, a very drinkable beer. They go down quick and leave you wanting another. A great example of the West Coast style that I will have again whenever I get the chance.
