A: Cloudy semi-opaque wheat orange body with an off-white head. Looks just like one of RR's Plinys.
S: Huge does of hops; initial smell was of grapefruit, but then quickly morphed into the floral spectrum.
T: The floral hops come out in the taste a lot more. Feel like I'm chewing on some flowers or sourgrass. A hint of sweet malts and caramel behind this, but the hoppiness predominates. Big enough taste that I could have mistaken it for a lighter double IPA.
M: Light, fresh, and round. A great feel for a standard IPA.
D: Wish they didn't serve em in 1/2 pint glasses; will have to try to find some bottles this summer.
Serving type: on-tap

the green flash was first tried in philadelphia at ortleibs. a great little place to see good music and enjoy several craft beer options. good people make everything more enjoyable and the staff there were friendly and helpful, and deftly navigating a busy hipster crowd. the green flash delivers mucho hops to your face and leaves your palate covered in it. smells like beer and i like beer smells. this is an ipa that is not for those who don't like ipa's, its an ipa drinkers beer... and i recommend this beer called the green flash.

Poured 12oz bottle into tulip glass
A: dark honey color with decent head that produces heavy lacing with every swallow.
S: pine and some citrus; hop dominant
T: pine, citrus Some malty sweetness mid-palate and then finishes with a tingling hop resin taste. Hop bitterness prevalent
M: medium bodied; very dry.
O: great IPA with some unique qualities in the subtle malt intertwined with big hop flavors and that tingling sensation from strong hop bite at the palate's end. Great IPA!
