Bottle Served at 6-and-Save and poured into a classic tulip.
A: pours a hazy orange color with a moderate white head that dissipated quickly. 4.0
S: I love IPA. Smells like Crack. Big nose of grapefruit and hops. Oh boy. 4.5
T: follows the nose. Big hop bitterness and grapefruit bite, balanced out by a sufficient malt sweetness in the background. The hops shine here. Lots and lots of glorious, bitter, grapefruit, pungent hops. Simple, yet effective. 4.5
M: this beer finishes dry and sticky, coating the tongue with an abundance of dry sour-grapefruit sweetness. Proper carvbonation really makes this a lively experience in the mouth. 4.5
D: very high. Could drink this all day long. I love IPA. 5.0

the green flash was first tried in philadelphia at ortleibs. a great little place to see good music and enjoy several craft beer options. good people make everything more enjoyable and the staff there were friendly and helpful, and deftly navigating a busy hipster crowd. the green flash delivers mucho hops to your face and leaves your palate covered in it. smells like beer and i like beer smells. this is an ipa that is not for those who don't like ipa's, its an ipa drinkers beer... and i recommend this beer called the green flash.

Poured 12oz bottle into tulip glass
A: dark honey color with decent head that produces heavy lacing with every swallow.
S: pine and some citrus; hop dominant
T: pine, citrus Some malty sweetness mid-palate and then finishes with a tingling hop resin taste. Hop bitterness prevalent
M: medium bodied; very dry.
O: great IPA with some unique qualities in the subtle malt intertwined with big hop flavors and that tingling sensation from strong hop bite at the palate's end. Great IPA!
