Had this one on tap at the new brewery, but this review is mostly based on a bottle I purchased from a local bottle shop. For the record, fresh - this might be the mightiest tasting IPA out there. It's simply a hop lover's dream.

A: pours a clear copper with huge fluffy head and good carbonation. The foam never really settles and clings to the glass the whole way down.

S: awesome showcase of American citrus & piney hops. Smells like mango, citrus, pine needles, pineapple, melon etc. Also has a nice sweet malt aroma in the background.

T: sticky sweet hop nectar. Lots of piney resin with a pineapple/mango twang.

M: a little lighter than imagined although the high hop character provides some fullness. Tastes bitter but it does even out with the malts.

O: overall, a finely crafted IPA. Among my favs all-time and easily my top 3 from out west.

Hop-hazed warm toasted orange tone. Fluffy off-white cap. Lacing like curtains. Looks superb.

A nice toasty malt is wafting in from the bountiful floral hop aromas. Juicy orange, honeysuckle, and freshly picked flowers in the bouquet.

Very bitter and biting hop attack. Big finish with a shining-through of the bread crust malts. Herbal and leafy cones with an outstanding spice component and mild acidity. Nice prominent alcohol. Top-notch flavor.

A little thinner than 'milky', but great feel. Great effervescence.

The classic West Coast example.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass

Pours a reddish burnt orange color, it a beautiful beer, rocky white foam head, 2 fingers worth of head slow to turn

Floral nose, alot of citrus right at the initial smell tropical fruits, then turns to a pine needle crisp nose

Taste was awesome, alot of citrus and heavy hop presence, at the back of the mouth more of the pine needle taste present, very refreshing crisp beer

Easy on the mouth nice feel decent body there, good ammount of carbonation

Overall a great beer, floral, crisp, and very refreshing

12oz bottle into tulip snifter.

Pours a clear, golden orange with a foamy, craggy, off-white head that leaves nice lacing.

The aroma is of tropical and citric fruit. Some pine as well. Reminds me a bit of Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale.

The taste is very hop forward as was the nose, but it is a blend of citric fruit notes upfront with a strong, resiny pine finish.

Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, with a good bit of carbonation.

A well done IPA, fairly bitter and resiny in the finish.

Poured the classic reddish-brown body w/ two-finger white head that dies slow and leaves lace patches. Very floral/piney/citric aroma, and I think a touch of grape which I usually detect in only DIPAs, and some oakey and sweet caramel malt. Body is the same as it's medium-to-heavy, has a good smooth, almost creaminess to it, the bread and sweet malts are nice complements as they are underneath a powerful citric and floral hop punch that leaves a lingering crisp finish and it tastes like some grape notes on the finsh as well. Good ABV for an IPA that wasn't a hop bomb and didn't overpower my tastebuds/retained a nice balance. Classic IPA that you can always fall back on.
