A - Pours 1 1/2 fingers off off-white head that settles fairly quickly, leaving nice lacing. It has a hazy copper amber color. Hard to see through, looks very thick.

S - Sweet caramelized malts at the front then lots of floral/citrus hops on the nose.

M - Medium bodied with good carbonation. Feels slightly heavier and smooth.

T - The malts definitely take a back seat to the hops which are prevalent from the beginning to the end. The hops flavor is more intense than the aroma gives away. Finishes dry and leaves a nice hops bitterness.

A great beer. Hops heads like myself will love it. It's also pretty drinkable, the bitterness doesn't last long enough to destroy it's drink-ability. Highly recommended.

A: Pours a deep, amber in color with very little head even when poured aggressively. The head that is there, though, sticks around for awhile and leaves plenty of lacing along the edges of the glass. Some particulates can be found floating around. Carbonation levels seem a bit low, but ample. The hue is nice, but the head is a bit weak.

S: Smells heavily of citrus hops, pine resin and a bit of roasted malt in the background. There is also an earthy, grass note in the aroma. Seems quite hopped, though I wouldn't call the aroma "inviting." The malt aromas seem to become more prominent as the beer warms.

T: Taste follows the aroma well. Lots of hops up front with a great amount of grapefruit citrus. Some pine resin comes through as well. There is a subtle bready malt presence in the background, but it never really gains prominence. Finishes with a lingering tart, grapefruit flavor on the tongue. Manages to pack a lot of citrus and hops without being overly bitter.

M: A solid, medium bodied brew with lower than average carbonation and a good amount of chewiness. Very smooth.

O: I found this quite enjoyable, overall, and it is sure to please those seeking the classic West coast IPA flavor. I found this one to be slightly one-dimensional, but it is definitely a quality craft brew. Pretty drinkable for the style, especially considering the strong hop presence and higher ABV. I probably wouldn't seek this one out again myself, but I wouldn't turn one down if offered. Cheers!

Finally broke down and picked this up after being turned off by the high price for so long. While definitely pricey, it is a great beer and was worth it.

Obviously the first thing you notice is the incredible hop aroma, this thing is a hop bomb in the best sense of the phrase. It pours amber, almost a sticky red with great lacing and an impressive head. Lots of piney, citrus, grapefruit aroma and taste. It has a kick at over 7% ABV, not sure how session able it is, but you can definitely have a few at a sitting.

The fact that I am getting the beer after it has been shipped from the west coast and it is still so good and tasty makes me wonder what it would be like to try fresh in So Cal. A great beer, one of the best IPA's I have ever had.

Poured a beautiful sap orange/red that was very warm and inviting. Had a 2 finger white foamy head that retained well and caked the glass, really good looking.

Smell was strongly floral, with some orange and grapefruit citrus noticeable, and pine in the background.

First sip is awesomely smooth, yet strongly hoppy, with tons of that citrus and a decent amount of pine. Bitterness is near-perfect, with the malt coming in to fade it away gradually.

Mouthfeel is superb, with just enough carbonation to keep it lively, but a smooth crisp texture that goes very well with the style. I don't really have any complaints with any part of this beer, as the drinkability is fantastic as well.

This IPA is kick ass. Superior lacing, pleasant hop aroma and a wonderfully balanced flavor profile. It's a smooth drinker - the sweetness is there but it isn't cloying or sticky; the hops are there but they aren't overly pungent. I really can't complain about this one.

A=pours a gentle golden/copper color with a white head.

S=very strong pine notes initially then some more floral notes that follow

T=very bold hop flavors, pine followed by floral notes

M=nice light tight carbonation with ample all the way through even on a slow drink

D=good, the only thing keeping this from being an all night beer is the ABV.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass

A: Pours a hazy burnt orange color with two fingers of just off-white head.

S: I can tell this is a west coast IPA right from the start. Huge waves of tropical fruits jump out of the glass. Grapefruit, mango and orange with a pine background.

T: Again a huge hop bomb. All the same tropical fruit flavors are here. The sip starts of sweet but quickly the bitterness from all those hops shines through. Pine is prominent, along with grass cuttings which rise in bitterness as I savor. The finish is dry, floral and bitter with a mild alcohol heat.

M: Thin, oily and almost foamy with carbonation.

O: West Coast IPA all the way. Fruity and floral hops are the name of the game here.
