This is what I would expect of a West Coast IPA, hoppy but not overhopped leaving you picking resin out of your teeth like some West Coast DIPAs, nothing wrong with that either. This one left a head that hardly receded as I sipped, as the liquid went down the head clung to the side to form more than what I would consider a lace. This would be one of my go to beers if it were a local brewery.

12 oz. bottle with no freshness date poured into a pint glass

Pours a clear copper color with about a half finger of off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is of citrusy, piney, and resiny hops. Taste is dominated by piney and resiny hops. Malts make a fleeting appearance but really can't hope to shine through the overwhelming hop flavor. In the finish there is a pleasant and lingering hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is good, medium-light body and moderate carbonation. Drinkability is good as well. The 7% ABV is barely noticable. The hops are dominant on the palate but not overwhelming. Overall a pretty darn good IPA.

Very piney and bitter citrus peels in the nose. You can smell the hops when you open the beer. Dark golden body with an ivory head that is perfumy to say the least. Very hoppy flavor to this IPA, will satisfy your hop fix. Mildly unbalanced-another west Coast hop bomb. Well crafted and veteran mouthfeel. Good session IPA for the hop cravers.

Served in a pint tumbler from a 12 oz brown stubby bottle.

Pours with good body, hazy gold color making a modest head that leaves good lacing. Appearance is orange and excessively hazy by the end of the pour.

Aroma dominated by bold "C" hops, lots of pine. Not much in the way of maltiness, but a hint of pilsner-like honey.

Flavor is also heavy with lupulin goodness, clearly this is what a west coast IPA is all about. Pleasant flavor, "balanced" only in the sense of a west coast IPA. A bit of sweetness and plenty of body in the finish.

Drinkability is good, not cloying like too many of this style. I could have another, but body was a bit too heavy to declare it "refreshing".

12 oz single purchased for me by a friend at Jungle Jim's. Poured into a Sierra Nevada Hop Tulip glass.

A: Pours a nice copper color with a very small head that dissipates quickly to a haze of bubbles. The bubbles leave sheets of lacing as the beer is consumed, but only the ring where each swallow started sticks.

S: The smell seems to be dominated by piney hop aromas that are very potent. There is a hint of citrus hop aroma mixed in. No malt aroma to be found. There is no mistaking the aroma for another style.

T: Starts out with a nice caramel malt flavor. The malt is washed away quickly with a shot of piney hop flavor. A nice overall taste profile for an IPA, but I admit the piney hop flavors are not my favorite.

M: Medium thickness and nice in mouth carbonation makes it feel creamy.

D: For the style it is pretty drinkable.

Poured into a nonic pint, huge fluffy sticky bright whiye head that hung sheets of lace down glass.Fairly clear honey hued orange brew, nice.

The sticky icky kind of grapefruit rind and pine that make for an awesome ipa.

As the elixer washes over the tongue it floods the grapefruity goodness abound. Gobs of resiny pine with grapefruit rind please the palate. With hints of delicate malts for good show. The abv on this is SO well hidden, maybe a hint on the back end.

Purt darn near full bodied beer that drinks like a session brew.

So glad to be getting this stuff here now.

Has this beauty in Richmond after a long day of interviews.

Pours a grogeous coppery amber hue with a generous 1/2" resilient head.... the head itself is predominantly rocky in appearance.

The aroma is filled of grapefruit and orange zest... they fill the nose... yay simcoe hoppiness! My only desire is that the aroma was a bit more pungent.

Huge simcoe presence in the taste... loads of grapefruit and pine resin, coupled with citrus rinds.

Big rich mouithfeel.... moderate carbonation amplified by bittering hoppiness.

Imminently drinkable... absolutely a fantastic beer, and the first I have had from this brewery. Looking forward to trying more of their in the future.

poured a Hazy copper with a one and a half finger high head that faded relatively quickly, random beads of carbonation rise to the surface. It looks like there are some particles of something suspended in the beer, continuously swirling around.

As expected this beer is a hop explosion, very aggressive and assertive resiny floral hops with scents of pine and grapefruit. The taste is less complex than the nose had led me to believe...kind of a bit of a let down. Don't get me wrong this is a tasty beverage but often it seems to just fall into "bitter hop" than showcase the wonderful qualities that the nose lead one to believe will be there. There are some grassy, herbaceous notes that are a welcome respite from the monochromatic hop assault.

Medium bodied, great fine bubbled scrubbing carbonation. A bit too resiny on the finish

All in all this is a good beer and I will surely be reaching for it in the near future, since it's in the beer cooler at my corner store.
