A - Copper body, off white head has great retention and sheets of sticky lacing.

S/T - Strong, assertive, abrasive hops. Huge resinous pine, some grapefruit and pineapple too. No sweetness on the nose, but caramel sweetness provides some contrast. Finishes very bitter, with lasting pine flavors well after the drink is finished.

M - Medium/full body, hop oils coat the mouth, palate wrecking bitterness.

O - Nice and bitter with a good range of hop flavors. Sweetness kept to a minimum which I like, even when this bottle is 2 months old.

(4.5) A: Semi-clear orange amber with a real beautiful tall and creamy beige head. Very good retention and lacing too. One of the best looking IPA's I've seen.

(4.0) S: Wet pine, grapefruit pulp, buttered biscuit, nutty qualities, and slight butterscotch. Loads of wonderful earthy, damp, and mossy aromas. Everything works together very well.

(4.0) T: Pine, grapefruit with slight lemon, nutty elements, and a very pleasant and well proportioned buttered and bready malt backbone. That earthy character comes through on the backend. Not that it’s incredibly high in alcohol % but for 7.3% it’s unnoticeable behind the hop bitterness.

(3.5) M: Medium-lighter bodied with a moderate carbonation. A bit on the thinner side but definitely with a chewy and semi-resin like texture to add character.

(4.0) D: Really enjoyed this IPA and glad I picked up a 4-pack. Very easy-to-drink and something I could easily have more of (i.e. drink all night).

What a fantastic beer. Pours a bright orange with a hint of amber. Full and thick creamy head that leaves quite an impact on the sides of the glass. There's even a cloud of tiny floaters in this beer.

Smells of piney vanilla sweet lemon cake with a touch of grassy citrus notes. Taste hits you straight away with the piney hops then leads you into a mouth smacking sweet vanilla. The after taste is the only thing keeping me from taking another immediate sip. I really get a great sticky feeling that helps with the sweetness that seems to show up. The mouthfeel is fantastic and just right. Feels like something that I should slowly enjoy. Sort of highly drinkable at first then turns viscus at the end.

Overall, this is one of the reasons I'm glad I live on the west coast. A fantastic example of west coast Ipa's. I can't wait to have this on tap again. Although on tap, it seems to be even more drinkable!

This IPA is kick ass. Superior lacing, pleasant hop aroma and a wonderfully balanced flavor profile. It's a smooth drinker - the sweetness is there but it isn't cloying or sticky; the hops are there but they aren't overly pungent. I really can't complain about this one.
